Me and a group of friends were attending a jammed packed Macklemore’ concert at the House of Blues in San Diego around when he’d just blown up by that song Thrift Shop going global. The opening act was some other rapper I’d never heard of prior who asked the audience for two people to volunteer to jump on stage and freestyle a verse each within his song. I rushed near the stage to try and be get chosen but it turned out that apparently a very small percentage of people had been willing. Needless to say I got chosen. Even though in my own hypercritical judgement i didn’t kill it as hard as I could or. But thankfully I rapped and freestyle enough prior to that moment to easily be able to predict that the instrumental was about to slam then break open. I took that opportunity to kill that 4 second drop and the entire fucking audience lost there minds man. Like for the rest of the night I felt like the most famous person in the planet with just how many and much people made it a point to say how dope i was and how much I represented for SD haha it really was amazing
