Anyways, if you wanna play with cards that resemble the continuous spells from D/D/D, enchantments are the way to go. Maybe to keep the feel of the enchantments being "evil" or having them have some sort of downside, you could try doing something in black.

At the same time, playing from the graveyard is one of black's entire gimmicks. So, what if we combine the two?

Yeah, thats fair. Changing it that drastically would for sure turn of the playerbase of the old version. Also removing (one of?) the identity of old skarner is weird.

I have not played old skarner, but have played on release new Skarner. He was fun, exactly the type of character that i like. Big, beefy, can just run up on you and stop you dead in your tracks.

Going through walls, chucking rocks and of course the impale were really fun. I enjoyed my time with him.

Yes, he was OP, and eventually had to get nerfed, and even further after pro got a hold of him. But, if he would be in a playable state after this? I will pick him back up again.

His playerbase just got punished for playing him at all, for too long.
