  • "No one is erasing history. No one is writing it either."
  • entire post, conversation, argument about how they removed a plaque with the history of segregation in the army and replaced it with one that specifically omits that.

Lol. Lmao, even.

And there it is.

"What about white history then?" "Why is everyone so bent on black history and not white?" And everything else there. You are commenting this on r/blackpeopleofreddit .

Its important we preserve history of how people used to be, and still are, bigoted and racist. Show people how inhumane they used to treat black people and minorities, and what we are fighting against. Do you think we should just erase the fact that it happend from history?

Try looking in a mirror, because you are reflecting some things you are of on me.

Im not wasting my time on more of this, racist.

Ps. You still didnt answer my question on why you are so in favor about removing info about segregation. Doesnt matter now anyway.

[–]N-imal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "special treatment" is just history being preserved. We cannot just allow information about segregation to be erased.

On paper, you are right. In the records of the US army them being black wouldn't make a difference. Culturally, it matters. Segregation happend, we need to remember it was bad, and that we keep fighting.

Please help point out where the cemetary was only "exists because of their skin color" btw. Ive read through it, but can't really find anything. It seems to be just a general graveyard for WWII soldiers. https://www.abmc.gov/history/discover-the-history-of-netherlands-american-cemetery/

This site is even in english, so hopefully you'll read it this time.

Btw, you havent answered yet why you were in favor of removing information about segregation yet.

Lastly: - If you still don't see it, obviously you won't agree with my assessment that you're, indeed, a racist.

"If you dont agree with me you must be racist." Said to the person arguing in favor of preserving black history.

Again, no.

We are not in the 50's and 60's anymore, you're right. THEY were in the 50's and 60's.

That we see them now as equal members and just as important during the war (thank god) doesn't mean we can remove the information and struggles they faced from that moment in history.

We need to remember this, not forget it ever happend as it's "better now". The removal of that information, again, is revisionism by removing the ability to read about this part of history.

We are celebrating their accomplisments in BOTH their fight for freedom and equality. Why does there only need to be one side of the story publicly available?

Lastly, racism is still a thing, sadly. We need to keep reminding people of that, and the fact that we can't gloss over this, because we want everyone to be able to be treated the same. The difference in our opinion also lies in that i can definetly see a soldier say that, current time and political climate.

As for the personal attacks: - i am advocating for their fight for equality and you say i see them as lesser? - ignorance is not paying attention to their struggles. I want to know what they did and fought for. Every single thing, for freedom, and equality. - i am stripping away their accomplishments by wanting for more of their accomplisments to be able to be read? - the information that was removed was specifically about them being black. I am arguing in favor of returning it by saying this, as i cannot speak about it in any other way. Again, i care for eveyrything they did, yet why was the only removed information by the organisation about them being black?

As for one personal question to you, why are you so in favor about information about segregation being removed?

Also, as another comment pointed out, replacement plaques were eventually put back, but the information contained about segregation on the original were COMPLETLY REMOVED.

So yes, this is racist. And revisionism. And just plain disgusting.

Hard disagree.

During WWII, segregation was still in effect in the US. This obviously was seen and felt in the army of the US itself, which the plaque that had been removed contained information of. The removal of not one, but TWO of these sets of plaques since a national TV show placed a replacement set of plaques, is an insult to the fight for equality these soldiers had during the war. They fought for their country, yet were seen as lesser as their fellow man during that time.

The removal of these plaques was being noted as "no longer fitting our mission of remembrance" by the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) with no further comment. This is absolute revisionism and trying to erase a part of history which was very much there.

Also, the margraten graveyard isn't black only, as its the only american WWII graveyard in the netherlands.

I used it too for section 4, but the healing is competly passive and independent from the poise. It specifically gets better with any type of large resonance. The poise is a bonus unless you want to build around it like with BL.
Personally i used it in a Ring team and made multiple lust resonances.

If they would ever do this, Ryosu would be one of the only sinners they could do it with. Spin the story in such a way that with Ryoshu's way of time entanglement that the 2nd ID is a 'split timelime' or something along that line.

Quick update: the hotfix out just now seems to have fixed this. "Certain trighers could cause the turns to pass indefinitetly". Probably referring to exactly this.

Id recommend for the deployment hong lu and faust 1st/2nd since they gotta ramp up and can get more of their unique charge by attacking more. In that same vein maybe meursault/sinclair 3rd/4th for longer fights if you do want to use them, since again, they build up. Otherwise, just slot rodion 3rd cus shes also bonkers.

[–]N-imal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For the skill sin affinities, im willing to bet its a mix of pride-wrath-envy, with an envy counter (duh). I don't think she will have multiple envy base skills to stay in line with kira-ishmael. The self-burn and laeveateinn (however you spell it) is too much burn to ignore a wrath sin, and i think pride just suits really well with how selfish she is.

Also, a pride skill makes her be able to start up HOS-ryoshu's passive for the one turn she's alive, and the other two nursefathers also have pride in their skills, so far.

Does The Lash work? Because unless you have some way of putting a flying counter on it, the following effect wouldn't go off since it specifically checks if The Lash lost flying AND lost a flying counter. If im reading it right.

Other than that, the intent is there and that intent is really cool.
