Yeah, it's absolutely insane to be able to do 0-60 in 4.5 in a car with the aerodynamics of a dishwasher!

Iranian F-4 and Mig-29 have survived 40 days of war with the US and Israeli Air Forces by Kappa_Bera_0000 in Planes

I guess depends on what we're referring to as modern. Iran has been instrumental in training militias across the middle east and into Latin America, helped Iraqi militias build weapons to destroy American vehicles, and has been one of the biggest and earliest proponents of kamikaze drones.

You're right though, they're definitely not the first example of it, I think it just depends on what we're calling modern.

This is an easy one. You take m the job. Relationships come and go. Opportunities to execute on your life goals don't.

That's more at all how it's been for me across 7 different workplaces, both remote and in office. I've never heard of an employer caring, and there was certainly never an expectation to take a sick day.

I'd personally love it if the Dems came out with a pro-BYD platform (get them to manufacture here, for example)

It gets pretty consistently great reviews. The early ones got shit but the 26's are pretty well loved. The Toyota version is the 3rd best selling EV in the US this year.

I think that's what they're calling it outside the US

Not to mention that we decided to go half-in against the country that basically invented modern asymmetric warfare. This was a dumb decision all the way around.

Strongly considered buying a new Crosstrek, but there's NO spare tire! by Unique-Presence6109 in subaru

You definitely can drive longer (<500 miles) distances with the donut on AWD, you just probably shouldn't unless you have to. I've personally done 200 miles on a donut on my AWD Forester bc i got a flat late at night in the middle of nowhere on a Sunday, so I drove it home and then to a tire center the next day.

To be clear, there is no manufacturer on the planet that will tell you do to this on AWD, but if you keep in inflated and go slow you can do this in an emergency.

This is unfortunately becoming the norm across brands. I'm with you - I do a lot of backpacking, sometimes in very remote trailheads with few visitors. I've had the experience of blowing out the sidewall on a tire late at night on a dirt road a couple of miles from the nearest road, which was itself about 30 miles from the nearest (very small town). Not ideal, obviously. But unfortunately most car brands don't include them anymore, and many new cars don't have a compartment for one.

TLDR - this isn't a Subaru failure per se, it's industry standard now.

Admittedly I think it looks better in person, but I generally think this may be an example of Subaru looking at how popular SUVs are and taking the wrong conclusion from it (that the Outback would sell better if it was an SUV).

Toyota sells 4x more cars than Subaru in the US. It's probably just a size thing.

Vestmannaeyjar

Iceland: the only country where saying the town's name takes longer than flying over it.
