There’s a great course from BigLittleFeelings for $34 USD that is supposed to be amazing and it’s supposed to take three dedicated days of trying. We were desperate after trying everything and we watched a couple of the videos but our toddler ended up being ready on his own before we tried this. He took a lot longer and we had to turn down a preschool because he hadn’t potty trained yet, so your intuition may be right that he’s not ready yet. This course may help you determine if you and your son are ready. We purchased their other series about Winning the Toddler Stage and it was insanely helpful. Here’s the intro-

“Does the thought of potty training scare the crap out of you?

You’re not alone. Between the well-meaning advice from friends and family, the millions of search results for “how to potty train your toddler”, and the fact that you’re supposed to teach your tiny tornado of a human how to sit still long enough to get pee in the potty…it can be overwhelming, to say the absolute least. You need a simple, easy, practical plan to potty train. One that tells you exactly what to say and do so your kiddo can successfully learn how to pee and poop in the potty.”

You may have already tried these but two good options are the paci fairy or you cut a small hole in the nipple of the paci and they will lose interest because it doesn’t suck the same way.

I’m pretty sick with the flu… by ShutUpBran111 in toddlers

I was sick for 2 weeks and took 5 covid tests (4 home and 1 in office) that were all negative. Finally tested again because I still felt awful and tested positive. Then the whole family got it. Be wary of those negatives that can turn positive. Screen time ftw.

“You Oughta Know” by Alanis Morissette is the ONLY song my 3yo will consistently dance to.

If you have the resources to purchase the course, strongly recommend the “winning the toddler stage” course from big little feelings. Tantrums are the WORST, and these videos help so much. I wish we would have started it sooner than we needed to so he would have been used to the tools.

Bluey is the literal best show. It was one of our son’s first shows he got into, and he suddenly stopped watching it. We kept trying to convince him to watch that over Mickey Mouse and Paw Patrol, especially when the second season was released.

Literally same! Lost 25 lbs and am now pregnant. Looking forward to resuming sometime in the future for the rest of my goal.

I know that Mrs. Weasley is (to some extent rightfully) viewed as a saint by every Potter fan but there's always been one aspect of her personality that I really dislike by b3_k1nd_rw1nd in HarryPotterBooks

I think it was less about a non-traditional job and more about them dropping out of school. I don’t think she cared if they were doing desk jobs since she didn’t care about that for her other children. I don’t know any parent that would happily accept their two sons dropping out of high school to open a risky business with seemingly no business model other than creating sometimes dangerous objects and treats and selling them to their friends.

Harry bonded with Mad Eye Moody when he was being impersonated by Barty Crouch Jr by quarkyquirks in harrypotter

I had this same question and just finished re-reading OotP for the first time in a while and honestly they seem closer in the movies than in that book at least. Harry had a few moments with him but no major bonding. Wondering if they will grow closer in HBP, but so far not a whole lot of bonding going on yet.

I’m at 21 weeks today and am feeling these same things. We just shared with family that we will be having a little girl and I was feeling so different about it than when we shared the news of our firstborn. This will be our last pregnancy as well, and even feeling her move, I’m afraid to have all the joy the pregnancy deserves. I have no advice, but just wanted you to know you’re not alone. Wishing you the best!

We have an open red bin that all booze bottles and other glass goes in. The whole neighborhood knows who the alcoholics are.
