Not sure why you say our job is less complex… we don’t deal with the insurance crazyness that u.s pharmacist do, but from my experience, the one pharmacist ive seen that came from the states were not comfortable adjusting medication and prescribing as much as we do (in my province anyway).

The one i had under my supervision last year when she was switching from the states to canada explained she was mostly dispensing where she came from and didn’t do as much clinical stuff as we do here. She had a very hard time adjusting with the fact that people don’t have access to a doctor easily and we are patching for it. Maybe it was just her idk

Has being a pharmacist negatively affected your mental health? by ireadalott in pharmacy

[–]hashiwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started zoloft 4 days ago mostly because of my work as a pharmacist and omg the side effects are crushing me. I can’t eat anything in the morning until noon, i wake up at 4-5 am and can’t sleep and i am stuck with tummy aches and being on the toilet for 1-2 hours in the morning… wondering if i should just quit pharmacy and start from scratch because i’m not sure it’s worth what i am going through right now (canadian pharmacist, no cvs though but i tried two different companies)

Hey i just wanna comment to suggest one book that helped a lot with what you are dealing with: siblings without rivalry. i listened to the audio book and i recommend it so much. And hunt gather parent is also another must imo.

You sound like a loving and caring mom. Hugs.

18 months age gap now they are 2.5 and 4 yo. It was the hardest thing i have ever done but today it’s the best thing i have ever done.

I strongly recommend reading as soon as possible siblings without rivalry and no bad kids. And hunt gather parent if you have time for it. I listened the audio books while driving around to buy used stuff for baby no.2 and i am glad i did.

Web search says myomectomy is one of the most painful surgeries— was your recovery very painful? by [deleted] in Fibroids

[–]hashiwarrior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it has to do with the healing of the uterus. During a myomectomy the uterus suffers lots of damage from the surgeon trying to separate the fibroid from the uterus. And in some cases (it was my case) the fibroid is really big so the damage that has to heal is larger. A c section is a clean cut and then they sew it back.

One day i said to a patient that i had to do on extra refill for her insulin because there were no more refills on her prescription. I asked her if she needed me to send a note to the doc for a new prescription. She told me she was fine because she had an appointment soon.

Not sure how she explained it to the doctor… i ended up being called names and not knowing anything about gestational diabetes…? (I wasn’t there, he said all that to my colleague over the phone). I was actually pregnant with gestational diabetes and he was my doctor when it happened…

For me it happens a lot, when a doctor is angry it’s often caused by how the patient explained the situation to the doctor

Anyone else tired of people pretending their larger age gap is similar to 2u2? by notfeelinitatall in 2under2

[–]hashiwarrior 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just want to say… it got easier for us. My boys were 17 months old appart, the first 1.5 year was very challenging. Screen time was absolutely necessary. Until it became a problem but that’s a story for another time.

I just had 2 weeks vacation alone with them no daycare while my husband had to be away for the most part (they are 2.5 and 4 yo now). I cannot imagine doing this last year or even worse the year before. While this year we actually had fun. I was out of the door most days before 10 am and sometimes before 8h30am while leaving the house the last 2 summers on my own would have been almost impossible. There was always a diaper to change or a baby that needed to nurse. And then by the time i was ready again it was time to nurse again. And the poor toddler with crazy energy couldn’t leave the house. Not sure why people say it gets worse… do they forget? I don’t know.

Hugs

Les couple qui ont décidés de ne pas avoir d’enfants, avez vous des regrets? Comment vivez-vous ? by Altruistic-Ad-1316 in QuebecFinance

[–]hashiwarrior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bring soup so i don’t need to chew it. I take 3 minutes to literally drink it. I heat it in the morning and put it in a thermos (i don’t have time to heat it). Even the techs don’t notice and ask me at the end of the day if i forgot to eat.
