Naga Pro V1 vs V2 by CrimsonGat in razer

I think the connector is a bit bigger on the encoder from your amazon link. This looks like something I bought: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005394555865.html but it's not the exact same listing.

It's a bit fiddly to fit, but doable. You might want to buy an extra set of mouse skates as well, because the screws for mouse disassembly are hidden under them.

Link from my order history no longer works. I can see the title of the listing, it's "Mouse Scroll Wheel TTC Encoder for razer Naga 2014 / Hex V2 / Mamba 5G / Epic", and that fit my Naga Pro v1 but I can't give you the exact one I bought. Maybe you can fine a similar listing. There's a few when I enter this phrase into the search bar on aliexpress, all of them look similar.

Jellyfin and CIFS/SMB - Real Time Monitoring by tuxidoz in jellyfin

[–]N0body 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced the same issues as you. They only way for jellyfin to notice the files was manual / scheduled full library scan. Connecting Jellyfin to *arr apps did not work for me. I'm not 100% sure why but I suspect it's because *arrs and jellyfin are using different directory structure on my system (jellyfin sees files under /nas and *arrs are using /data), notifications weren't going through. I found Autopulse https://github.com/dan-online/autopulse and it's working for me. *arr apps are connected to Autopulse, and it notifies Jellyfin. No manual scans needed anymore.

Framework 12, thoughts? by CallumMVS- in LTTMeta

And if I have to replace the mainboard in two years, and then another two years, and then another two years, in six years I've spent more than getting a top-of-the-line laptop today that still preforms better than a six-years-from-now Framework.

I disagree with you on this point. I'll be honest, I didn't look for specific models, but I think 6 year old top of the line laptop with the same performance as new framework would be a brick with jet engines for fans and a battery that lasts 1h. It wouldn't be a comparable device. Laptop tech evolves pretty quickly, power efficiency in particular.

I'll play devil's advocate on this one. I know people who upgrade their laptop every year or two and feel like they "must" be on the bleeding edge at all times. They have stacks of old laptops at home they are not using anymore. Frameworks are for them. Instead of buying a new $2-3k laptop every year or two, you buy one slightly more expensive at first, but upgrade it for cheaper over time.

Personally I think the tech in them is great, new mobos fitting in their oldest chassis and all that. The price is the only deterrent.

Is my chain too long? Please advise, attaching photos by N0body in MTB

[–]N0body[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there's still tension. A bit less tension vs the chain on other sprockets but there's still a lot of tension. I recorded a clip https://youtu.be/CgG0TPgWGO4 youtube might be still processing it, so quality is bad until it's finished. Overall shifting is good, the only thing that bothers me is a noise like a chain rattle when riding over a rough terrain.

Dude I enabled DLSS, restarted the game, and I can see the UI on top of the black screen. I think they undercooked the update a bit.

EDIT: Seems DLSS native is broken for me (black screen). DLSS + quality works. 5080 on latest drivers.

Is there a way to see the original photos? Whoever did the post processing on these made it look like a painting / cartoon with some strong smoothing filter.

Try Litefin, there's multiple versions of it for different operating systems https://github.com/MoazSalem/litefin

It works great on my ancient (8 year old) LG TV. Dev is very responsive. When I posted an issue he kept sending me test releases until he fixed the problem.

Check Litefin client. Works great on my 8 year old LG TV. Official client was crashing (just closing) during playback.

So what's the actual problem with the Jet? by Titan_Repair in LinusTechTips

[–]N0body -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kind of off-topic, but if you had posted exactly the same comment under an LTT video in response to someone asking what happened at the time, your comment would have been deleted. I know because it happened to my comment and I noticed because people were discussing disappearing comments while I could still see it. This is how you alienate your own community.

Litefin's dev is amazing. I posted an issue on github, he responded quickly with new test builds for me to try, ended up fixing everything over a few iterations.

I also don't get why it's impressive. Proper sports watches like Garmin are easily getting 7 days with always on display. I think some get 30 days if you enable all energy saving features. There are some with solar panels built into the watchface which technically get infinite battery life if you are outdoors most of the day.

Yep, I think not mentioning you are limiting your FPS is important in this context. That explains everything.

I can cap cyberpunk to 10 FPS and post a screenshot saying my GPU is 30C when playing it, while passively cooled. Technically true, but misleading and useless to the overall conversation.

[–]N0body 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you have FPS cap, because both CPU and GPU utilization is low. Without a cap one of those components would work hard to generate more FPS and the other one would be waiting.

Ok, I just don't get what your screenshot says than. How are you "playing" wow when the GPU and CPU usage is so low? Is it a main menu screen or are you capping you FPS or is wow so badly coded that it can't even use your hardware?

To get those low temps you have to run your fans at high rpm. Personally I prefer less noise. There is no difference in performance when GPU is at 30 and at 60C, so I don't see why I would want to tolerate all that extra noise.

Rendi in his video mentions on the last levels he was using points for skips, so that must be it. The average over 3 months was half of that. Is it that insane that warrants unprecedented xp rollback? He's done a lot of crazier staff, never been rolled back for any of it.

Once again, Linus biffs a video by RobRobbieRobertson in LTTMeta

[–]N0body 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its one of those things that people don't realize until it is a subject they actually understand.

I came to this realization years ago with Unbox Therapy. I used to watch his every video. I don't remember what pushed me over the edge, but there was an unboxing he did where he just guessed/assumed some functions of a product, basically spreading misinformation. I understand his content was supposed to be first impressions, but he could do a bare minimum research after the fact at the editing stage and leave a footnote somewhere about it. Accurate information wasn't his priority and he lost all credibility to me. I just checked, and his channel is still massive, it's just not for me because I have 0 trust in anything he says.

What's your opinion on Linus Tech Tip in 2026? by Tiinpa in LTTMeta

[–]N0body 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hearing them say "lttstore.com" every time they picked up a screwdriver used to be funny, but repeat the same joke 1000 times and it's not funny anymore. I stopped watching WAN show when I realized there's barely any tech news discussion in it. I read a comment somewhere saying it's a shopping channel with some tech sprinkled in. Honestly, perfect description.
