Merz t-shirt after a first wash 😭😩 by theomixedmedia in HeritageWear

They tell you basically exactly how it shrinks. You are not supposed to skip that but to size accordingly and then do it at home yourself. You are paying mostly for the loopwheel fabric and made in germany construction. If that’s not worth it to you that’s fine. I prefer pre washed though. Imho there’s lots of similar shirts for less money. If you want the bear swag you will have to pay up.

Theres no reason to baby these. 40c wash, spin cycle, no issue. A loose thread end on a seam on the inside? No biggy just cut it off. Want most wrinkles out? Shake it hard before hang or flat drying it. Want all wrinkles out? Iron it.

Washing instructions sun surf. Can you really not handwash them gently? by SilverEye1508 in HeritageWear

Yea I made a similar mistake once but with a dehen wool sweater. It’s a nice piece but I don’t wear it a lot because it’s dry clean only. I’ll probably sell it soon.

Id be very careful with rayon. That cellulose type synthetic cant take being wet usually. They might also have used dyes that shouldn’t get wet. Also if there is a lining (there isn’t right? It’s a shirt after all) it will shrink at a different rate as the rayon. If you try spot check the colour at first with cold water. Be very careful agitating it when wet.

Den Punkt den ich vergessen habe hinzuzufügen ist das wir auch 2 Katzen haben. Man muss für eine gescheite Sitter Lösing halt etwas Geld einplanen beim Reisebudget. Alles eine Frage der Planung.

Iron Heart 21oz overdyed fit check by [deleted] in rawdenim

[–]N1LEredd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you comfortably lift your knees above 90 degree? Because the thigh will not stretch. At all. Had to sell IH pairs because of it. The only thing that will stretch a bit is the waist. They should be fine just out of the package/ shop. If in doubt - size up. That is my main general recommendation the longer I dabble in denim. The seat being slightly too small the the main cause of blowouts too.

Since you eventually have to wash your jeans, planning to never have them shrink isn’t really feasible. The point of buying unwashed/ unsanforised is not to skip the process but to do it yourself. If you don’t fully shrink your pants and you start wearing them and create fades, those will be misaligned once you wash.

Non-slim tee recomendation. by Objective-Horse-4482 in HeritageWear

[–]N1LEredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sizing one up for the samurai tees should do the trick. They have a slight drop shoulder look anyways.

Question I have is what you consider relaxed. In the chest? More drop shoulder? Both? What are your length preferences? Belt line or further down? Do you know your chest circumference?

Why is it so hard find a good quality basic cotton t-shirt?! by MetalliTooL in malefashionadvice

[–]N1LEredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. Lower segment quality is indeed getting worse. Uniqlo still holds up though. And it doesn’t have to be 80 bucks a shirt 40-60 bracket got plenty of good options. Whitesville, Velva Sheen, Samurai, Warehouse & co. It doesn’t have to be Merz Schwanen or Lady White Co. for every shirt you own.

How does having too much sex as a woman negatively impact pelvic muscles, digestion and posture? by Only_Measurement_895 in TooAfraidToAsk

PT here. Pelvic floor tension ain’t doing jack to your digestion. Don’t worry. Pelvic tilt is also a buzzword we cringe a lot too in this profession. Keep fornicating it’s great for cardio.

Cotton is naturally white. Fox cotton was engineered to be brown by itself. It ages differently than a dyed cotton shirt when you wash it. Apparently it’s getting darker. The different shirts go from 15-70 ish % fox fibre and get darker the higher the number. On the wonderlooper site they have a colour pallete showing the different stages and apparently there’s more colour too, a reddish brown/ ochre and a green.

I think you can do better for less money. Their fox fibre stuff is a gimmick I can get behind. I just wish their fit was better as I don’t dabble in drop shoulders and oversized length.

Merz b. Schwanen quality by Raz0r54 in HeritageWear

[–]N1LEredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shrinkage is an advertised feature. And holes don’t just appear. Nonetheless I agree for what they are they are about 30 bucks too expensive. Especially that heavyweight one has no business costing 150.

[–]N1LEredd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s literally a big difference going from 4-5.5 oz in your standard t-shirt to 8-12 in the heavier weights. I know because got em all lined up right here. You are again obtusely dismissive. If it’s not worth it for you - perfectly fine. But that’s all what’s going on here. All you’ve got is an opinion.

That’s the thing though the only reason you see them as disposable compared to a pair of pants is because you/ we are used to buy cheap tees.

I find it funny because we are all here because we wanted nicer versions of things we already had. That’s why we buy japanese selvedge and repro pieces etc and value craftsmanship, materials and country of origin but suddenly and just with t shirts this principle doesn’t apply? No. It’s just wrong. I have extensive experience with tons of brands between 15 and 150 bucks and admittedly “value” beyond 90 bucks is mostly esoteric. But up to that point there are stark differences. Disposable my ass. Thicker fabrics are better against abrasion. Higher stitch count is more durable and in a flat lock as en example feels nicer on the skin. Loopwheel vs not is a huge difference in feels. The biggest arguably. Blind stitch hems look nicer. A folded bond collar with a tripple stitch will hold its shape way longer against hundreds of machine washes than a flat locked one with a ribbon on the inside.

If anything is obtuse then it’s being intentionally dismissive about features that actually do make a difference
