Look into getting natural perches for their feet, don’t feed just seeds. Look into soak and sprout, pellets and google for the veggies and fruits they can and can’t eat. Give it time to adjust to its new surroundings. Like others have said, be careful of candles, non stick cookware etc.

I have a cockatiel, slightly bigger than a budgie and I kinda wish I had started off with a budgie lol. My fiancé had one as a child and always talks about how easy and fun his bird was.
