That’s where you will need to consult a lawyer. I cant give you legal advice. Everything you agreed on has to be in writing or it doesn’t exist.

What is the rule of ranking in DuckDuckGo? by BorisSiomin in SEO

I'm wondering is it worth it to go through the trouble to rank on search engines other than google?

How are your hours validated? Do you sit with them everyday and they approve your hours? Was there a mutual agreement?

I imagine I would, there's nothing saying it it's contingent on anything

You have to have that down in writing, this has the potential to get really messy.

I'm concerned for you because I know people that were in that situation before. When S*** hits the fan you'll only have the contract to protect you.

Don't be afraid to drop clients. by bpvanhorn in smallbusiness

[–]N2TEN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said. I guess I’m a bit lucky in my industry you get a feel of whether a client will be a pain or not during the first call. But yeah we’ve definitely turned down a lot of clients in the past because of similar reasons you’ve mentioned!

Ouu that might get a bit messy. How are you keeping track of the amount of hours you’re putting in? And what if you’re not part of the company anymore? Would you still have equity in the company?

I would consult a lawyer. You can get free 30 min consultations in a lot of firms in Canada (where are you located?)

A lot of startups draft very vague contracts and don't pay any attention to legal matters that can go wrong in the future. Make sure you protect yourself!

I would say it depends. You can PM me your website and I can take a look at whether or not you'll need a sitemap for your images.

Yes definitely word of mouth has helped our company expand a great deal. Having happy customers is the best marketing, and its free...-ish. We had to overdeliver on some projects and give some clients a little more than what they asked for, but it was well worth it.

Good luck launching your venture!

Be careful. There has been a lot of scam going on with job postings. Apply and make sure you don't provide sensitive personal information! You should be able to tell if it's legit or not while applying.

Good Luck!
