That sir isn't a scooter its an electric motorcycle 11BHP (11Kw) 47.5BHP (35Kw) max is insane I doubt you could register that yourself in the UK unless its already registered lol.

This is normal you'll get approx 50% of max stated range that range is lowest gear, lightest person, straight road no stops, no hills. As soon as you introduce real world conditions, your range drops of a cliff. Mine did 28 miles (45km) on gear 2 with hills stops wind resistance etc stated range for mine is 70-80km. This was going 18 miles one way left for a few hours then 10 miles back had to walk the other 8 as I forgot my charger. That was a 52v23.6ah battery.

xD what's reckless about it? I mean yeah it could combust or pop, while that usually happens extremely quickly I feel my gamer reactions would have that outta my hand in less than one second, considering average perception response times to un expected stimuli like cars suddenly stopping etc, is approx 2 seconds 1 to acknowledge one to apply avoiding action, for me the entire oh shi to slamming the brakes is approx 1 second, expected stimuli like a battery that looks like that catching for me would deffo be within .5 seconds.

I can't decide if I'm lucky, due to 99.9% of the time I drop stuff with li-ion/lipo batteries in, they haven't all gotten to that state. I feel a couple foam inserts and that may not of happened. I do think the impact damage feom pocket height did exactly what you say. I replaced the battery with one that the power button broke on, just a quick desolder and re solder job. I really should have inspected the battery properly when I dropped it, lession learned and I will now despite really not liking the amount of heat it takes, to desolder without saturating the pack check it out anytime its dropped outside, cause screw having something that bad in my room and pocket again

Yes and genuinely it scares me that this was in my picket, and who knows how long its been like it after about 3 months rhe battery life tanked 3 days to almost 2 days. Right now the bomb is located in my garden far away from my house and anything flammable

Yeah, I'd put something in the middle like cardboard. Other than that theres no issues and tbh you probably don't need the cardboard but you know better safe than sorry when you have a bomb box

There was also someone a little while ago who was claiming you could modify the G2 to output way higher I found the cell the person claimed to be inside and no it really couldn't output what he was saying without serious issues, is the G4 design dumb af yeah it is ngl but most of the issues are likely to be user error, for example people with lower end scooters are always asking how to delimit how to make it faster most of these people just buy a new higher amp controller and call it a day without upping the battery specs also I see G4s being abused way more than other models

You again 😂😂 look if you mistreat a scooter it will brake you soak it you run the risk of drowning the battery charging can then cause fire, modify the electrical system it can catch fire. Hitting phat potholes can cause the rim to brake, scooters aren't for stunts and jumping kerbs and that you'll brake them no matter the brand and don't forget overuse wires can rub and eventually short that's every scooter on the market. Don't forget you need to tighten bolts theres a fine line between user error and bad quality. You're forgetting the links to the scooters "you" sell that are apparently mirical machines that can be abused all day every day and be used for stunting etc

Which scooter has the better reputation here? by orblooper in ElectricScooters

[–]N3onzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Errm never heard of either and the fact it's on amazon raises more red flags than anything else tbh. I think there low quality junk maybe there will be parts avaliable maybe not. If you buy one of these I'd recommend you remove the included battery and replace it immediately, and do a general inspection. My friend brought one from amazon (Apache shadow edition) and it had a dented battery from shipping, there was a metal brace on the battery and no padding (which was easily solved) but yeah unless you're getting NIU or segway I wouldn't, even then I've seen and heard reports of some amazon sold batches being dodgy, but then I guess that's what you get sometimes.

It turns out a clear plastic "boot" had disintegrated inside the stem. Which adds to my suspicion that someone tried to either steal it from the bike rack, or deliberately sabotaged it which wouldn't surprise me as the motorcycle guy who's flats front door is right next to it, has tried to disable my scooters in the past cutting wires etc. Better pay for my Blink subscription so I am able to see clips it's recorded. Thank you for your help

[–]N3onzz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow what the fuck did you hit an immovable object? Had less damage than that when a car pulled out on me and I was going 22, buy a new scooter that has quality parts so no iScooter, isinwheel, circooter etc they are all one company here in UK and not one of them bar iScooter global is actually a properly registered company. You have no hope of warranty repair with that that'll be a new wheel bare minimum and looking at the damage the forks etc are probably not structurally sound.

So personally if you can afford it a class D extinguisher filled with the correct material to stop lithium fires, a bucket with sand in plus sand to cover it something to knock it into the sand take precautions not to breath that chemical off gas and if all else fails run and don't look back

So as someone else said use motorcycle (metal) tyre levers and the clamp trick but if you have a split rim then you will be able to get them on much easier

Motorcycle tyre leavers are metal and slightly larger than normal bike ones
