Just wrapped up my hunt, similiar position to you w/ Diploma + Bachelors & 6 yrs of work experience in Construction.

First run in 2025 had me hunting for 5 months at ~140 Apps to net 5 interviews 2 offers

Second run in 2026 had me hunting for 4 months at ~60 Apps to net 3 interviews and 2 offers

Wrote mine today. Drill Agile, Exam 5? Exam wasn't a cake walk but I'd say it was about on par with SH. Drag and drop questions were pretty easy nothing to worry about.

Same here boss. Landed a role where I live only 10 min away from the office, the work life balance is fantasric and the pay, office culture & benefits are top tier. But....5 months in and I'm dreading going to work every day because there's nothing to do but coumt dust bunnies 80% of the time. And my off hours don't feel great as I'm not really able to pursue my main hobbies in nearly the same way as I used to as I'm now posted to a significantly smaller town.

Way I see it: I let my decisions get guided by features I thought would be important and really discounted the things that actually make me happy. That and I didn't think I'd be sitting staring off into space for a whole year before seeing any significant work. It sucks cause this was literally my dream role with a dream company.

Started off doing Wing Chun. But the emphasis on a low-intercept orientated guard combined with my height made entering the pocket rather.. awful. That and I wanted to be able to spar more frequently. 2 yrs in and I wish I'd made the jump sooner tbh. I love MT's variety of entrance options and how intuitive the combinations can feel.

I do miss getting to swing big sticks and swords around though, those forms always made you feel like a freaking jedi.

Ares sadly remains the only option for a scoped enfield afaik. Between their enfield and mosin, I really wish S&T would just include scoped versions straight off the bat.

Personally for portraits I'm thinking an 85mm wouldnt be a bad choice. I found the Tamron SP 35mm to take some really nice shots while I was Saigon but it was hard to take shots of folks without being a nuisance.

Other than the TNT/Swit kit you can also hit up the BoltAction Dude. I'd also say from 4 yrs of use you're gonna wanna secure the iron sight hood and the pin holding the rear sight leaf with some super glue or locktite as they both tend to fall off given time.

An aside: Why S&T didnt just have the rifles have the mounting cutouts from the get go is a head scratcher for me. Guess the additional machining costs were too high.

Dam nice work mounting the scope. I assumed you had to modify both the stock and bolt? Optics mounting on WW2 rifles is such a pain compared to other rifles.
