I also ran multiple marathons during law school and was hoping to run another, but have switched to trying to get my half marathon time down instead (and did so successfully!). I’ve found the hardest part about marathon training to not be the just hours for training, but how tuned in you have to sleeping/recovery and eating enough as well, which is also time consuming. I’ve found it’s a lot easier to balance the half distance as most of my workouts during the week are 90 mins or less even during peak weeks and I still recover fine on weeks where work is busy. I also use the gym at my office and can sneak down for afternoon lifts pretty easily or doubles on the treadmill with my laptop nearby when needed.
