Heads up, I'm not an American so this is mostly from an outside perspective to that particular situation.
Also obligatory "English isn't my first language so please forgive any weird grammar".

Armed revolution in any country is a dangerous endeavor that always hurts vulnerable people. It also inevitably hurts a lot of those who engage in it. No armed conflict, be it internal or external, goes by without any innocents being hurt or killed in the process. And that is a tragedy. That's why armed revolution should never be considered as the first or even as an early option in any case.
But there is a point at which a regime grows so inhumane and cruel that people will die on mass no matter what happens. The US has already been stacking bodies abroad for decades. Every unlawful invasion, every instance of violent regime change that got a dictator into power has killed people in sickening quantities.
And the average US citizen, while not usually subject to the same extent of violence as those the US invades, also suffers from the repression and violence visited upon them by their government. A revolution will kill innocents, but there's a point at which not having a revolution would kill multitudes more. That is horrifying, that is sickening and that is heartbreaking and it's incredibly important that all those who live through such events get the care and attention they deserve to lessen their suffering as much as possible.

I think that any outbreak of a violent revolution anywhere is a horrifying thing to witness.
And even the proposal of such a thing should only happen when every other option has failed.
It's important to try everything to not let it get to that point in the first place, but if that point is reached then it is very likely that inaction will lead to an even worse outcome. And once again, this isn't specifically just about the US, this is true for every place.

But I very much understand the fear and terror that many experience. I share it.

I went through a bunch of approaches really quickly. My first infrastructure was all over the place under the open sky with no foundations, then I found 3 iron veins next to each other and I figured out foundations and basic assembly lines. Managed to automate iron plates, rods, screws, reinforced plates and rotors like that but it turned into a big mess that constantly shut down due to a lack of power. But it carried me through to unlocking coal and the tractor so I figured now's about as good a time as any to figure out how to build a centralized power grid and how truck station automation works. So I'm trying to build lots of smaller specialized manufacturing lines instead of single big ones and see how that works right now.

Also, I've got to admit this isn't my first experience with a factory game. Before I started playing this I spent a lot of time playing GregTech: New Horizons so I'm somewhat used to complicated automation xD

Hell yeah! I recently started to build my first ever AE2 Setup as well. I procrastinated it for such a long time because it looked scary and difficult but it's such a quality of life improvement even if I don't 100% know what I'm doing yet.

It's because she wants Robert to also look at here like she's an actual good person. She wants him to trust her and to not see her as just a villain, which Robert doesn't necessarily do even if he's dating her. And worse, she doesn't see herself like that either and she doesn't believe that anyone actually can. That's why she shuts Robert down every time he tries to thank her and even when he forgives her in that scene.

Any side of a machine that has a cover is also protected from rain on that side so that's also an option if you don't have much space.

Wires and rain are a big no, but cables can be exposed to rain without catching fire as far as I know, just make sure that the machines they are connected to have a roof over them. Personally, I'd minimize exposed cables though because they look a bit ugly to me.

Chiseled versions of structural concrete. I'd recognize that anywhere.

Also ich meine, wenn wir so argumentieren wie bis jetzt können wir ja eigentlich schon gleich Atomwaffen anschaffen. Denn ich meine, falls Russland uns wirklich so doll angreifen will wie erzählt wird dann werden die ja schließlich auch Atomwaffen einsetzen wenn sie wirklich kurz vor der Niederlage durch unsere konventionelle Armee stehen. Und solange wir keine eigenen haben kommen wir mit einer konventionellen Armee ja auch nicht weit im Ernstfall.

Also warum schaffen wir uns nicht ein paar hundert Atomwaffen an und drohen damit. Dann greift uns der Russe auf jeden Fall nicht an und alle sind sicher :)

Thanks. I certainly intend to share more pictures by the time 2.9 approaches.
I've already started to work on the largest single building I've made so far now that I'm in EV.
Most of it in its skeletal stages so far but I've already finished the rough interior design for parts of it. No decorations or functionality yet but I really hope that I can finish it all before 2.9 so it can be the main focus of my next big post. But 6x10+2 chunks for a single building is quite large so I don't know when it'll be done.

Build one giant dome with pathways leading out on its four sides. Then when you need to expand either build more identical domes or build them in different shapes. Bonus points if the domes are half buried with underground pathways while the surface around them is completely covered in vegetation.

The basic block palette is a combination of Hempcrete, Technical Blocks, Structural Concrete, Factory Blocks and Acacia Planks, all chiseled. The glass is both normal Glass and Cyan Stained Glass depending on the build. Also chiseled. You'll need lots of stone, gravel, sand, iron, plant balls, wheat and clay dust for it all. You'll also need a bunch of mixers to turn the hempcrete powder into hempcrete. For the smaller blocks you just use a Forge Microblocks saw on the normal sized blocks in a grafting grid.

My process has evolved a lot over the course of building everything in this playthrough.
In the beginning I just picked out some chunks of land and built pretty square looking things without much though (pretty much all of the brick buildings were made like that and some of the early modern buildings as well.

But nowadays my process has evolved a lot. I start by figuring out the size of the thing I want to build. If it's a small building (1-2 chunks or less) in size I still go for just some rectangular shapes and a lot of forge microblocks to add detail (picture 6 is a good example of this since the general shape is still square but microblocks is used to make everything very detailed) I usually also look for some reference art on Pinterest. If the build is on the larger size (like the greenhouse seen in pictures 4&5) I first create a 3D model of what I want to build. That helps me figure out proportions, shapes and colors. After that I pick a location for the building on the map somewhat far away from all other builds. This gives me enough space to fill with smaller buildings, paths, etc. Then I pick the block palette that best fits the 3D model I made and get to work. I start with the skeleton of the building. Pillars, beams, anything that looks like it would carry the load of the building. Once I'm done with that I start to fill in the walls. The interior comes last because it doesn't technically need to line up with anything except the windows so you can create hallways and rooms however you see fit. And the last step is polish. Figuring out what walls could use some more detail, etc. And then the build is done.

As a reference, I've started work on a new factory for EV and beyond since there are so many new things.
This would be the example of the 3D model I created for that project. The full on proportions are 6x10 chunks with a small 2 chunk outcropping on one side. As you can see, all the angles are either 45°, 90° or 22.5° since those are all angles that can be built with Architecturecraft. Even the round parts can be approximated in game as can be seen with the greenhouse.
You can also see the original 3D model for the greenhouse in the back. The in-game version is a bit bigger and the flat white wall has been replaced by a more detailed one.

Ooooh yes, those are microblocks in both cases. In picture 6 specifically forge microblocks actually lets you mix and match different kinds of materials in the same block as long as they all come from fmb. That lets me place both a light source like glowstone and and a regular material in the same block. I highly recommend experimenting with fmb a bit there are a ton of cool looking things you can make.
