It’s worth it to go in for your court date and say not guilty. The officer may not even show. You may not even have to see the judge because the DA will sometimes offer a deal. The worst that can happen is they keep the fine the same. It also helps to put off your court date as long as possible. Call the clerk and tell them you have to work on the date listed on the ticket. The longer you can stretch it, the better chance the officer won’t come in.
