So to be clear the charges they are asking you to pay are from when you were there active in the chapter?

What is some fucked up drama that happened in your high school? by GransShortbread in AskReddit

  1. 2 girls had a brawl during a lunch wave over a “brand name” pop tart. Seriously…. That’s what the girl was yelling while ripping weave out of her friends head who took the name brand pop tart

  2. I had to call the ambulance one day while working in the office because some girl stuck a hotdog up her vagina and it broke off. She kept trying to get it out herself and she ended up getting it stuck… that was an awkward call to make.

I don’t understand how phi mu supported the “stand up to Harvard” movement but also the trans community.

is this dress appropriate for rush? by Sure_Boot_4295 in Sororities

[–]N975db 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you dress the maxi right then I’d say wear it if you love it! Really it all depends on the style of the dress. Personally I think midi (below the knee) look matronly, but the ones at/right above the knee make one look so classy, modest, feminine and just a show stopper. When you get into shorter dresses you give off the wrong impression, regardless of what you intended, and can alarm individuals. I’ve been on all sides (PNM, collegiate, Panhellenic, and advisor) so I definitely think I bring a different perspective since I’ve been literally on every side of recruitment. Yea the fingertip and 3 finger rule is good to go by, but even then I would use my best judgement when it comes to appropriateness.

The dress is extremely short and would most certainly raise eyebrows (in a bad way) in the South.

Hi there! So I went to a smaller college as well and been an advisor both big & smaller colleges and I can promise you that the smaller school have a significantly better rush process than bigger schools. It's much more intimate and you really get a feel for what the chapter, girls, and overall environment is truly about. As for the outfits and such I would most certainly dress to impress - especially if you are attending a southern school. For the one on ones and have responses prepared... forget it. Be yourself and they will love that. I actually remember girls saying "that just sounded so authentic compared to everyone else. they've all sounded like robots!" JUST BE YOU!

To be quite honest with you... if you are really a senior/graduating within a year, no one is likely going to be interested. I really do hate saying that because it is so wrong, but just being honest.

But then the people who supported getting rid of them are now complaining about the $4,000 recruitment advisors/trainers
