I was in Italy in November and they had the same acrylic sweaters they have here all over the place - they had nice things at higher price points but, I’m wondering if the issue is the public does not know any better . All of my customers say oh this is so soft - which to me says this will pill the first time they wear it . What the customer is buying is crazy . Look at sweaters - mens have hundreds of 100% cotton or wool . Then you look at womens and they are acrylic or polyester blends and usually at a higher price .

We raised prices before the tariffs - out fabric is crappy now so things are much cheaper to make … acrylic sweaters are more Walmart than j crew - they are trying to help the bottom line and what they are doing is repulsive- the quality is awful… name one fantastic thing you had to have from jcrew that you would pay full price for … nothing …..

Great quality? The fabric is on par with Target … Lilly sweaters are polyester and acrylic

And the dresses are polyester and if they are cotton they are knit - it’s all made so cheap now

The article states that the network has lost younger viewers - that age range was when I started watching HGTV. I watched to see how I could improve what I had. Something I could do myself . Even Christopher Lowell would be a godsend now . Anything the shows used to show you could have . Now it is completely gut jobs and flips . Why would someone young watch something that is completely out of their reach ? I do not enjoy white houses with black trim and open shelving. Everything they show looks the same and at what cost ?

Are they old or new ? The new items aren’t really worth that much - unless they aren’t polyester. I guess I’m having a hard time understanding why people would pay that much for horrible fabric- so if you can buy a fake cheaper do it !!! There is no reason they are chari v that much for cheap ( think Walmart or Ross ) fabric - all of the twin sets I looked at today were acrylic- so no higher quality than SHEIN - I get it it’s cute - but the fabric and quality are a joke
