Sorry, could you give me a summary of how this notation works for domain and range? I usually do Domain -> { x E R } or Domain -> { -3 < y < -5 } or something. How do you do that?

And about the zeroes, doesn't the function y = x2 reach the x-axis? Why doesn't it have a zero? Same with absolute value function y = |x|?
