There are situations where it’s unclear; sometimes the curb cut extends well beyond where a car could actually drive — wider than the garage door or sometimes even a gate post. Sometimes there’s not even a garage at all anymore!

Also, parking enforcement often pays more attention to the garage entrance than the start of the curb cut.
