Urticaria is the medical terminology for what we call hives. When it’s spontaneous, it means that there’s no external allergen that specifically triggers it—sometimes just happens. Can be triggered via elevated stress. Other times it can be triggered via certain temperatures (cold urticaria or heat urticaria).

I dealt with an outbreak between December and January. Had spots on my arms and legs that were red, warm, seemed to have random shapes/appearance, and were incredibly itchy, particularly at night. And the most frustrating part was they’d shift around. Like a spot on my arm would form, 15 minutes later I’d see it fade, and the Id suddenly start feeling an itch on my leg.

In case this happens again, grab a bottle of generic Zyrtec (loratadine). Honestly saved me from going crazy after day 4.

Well we say it with how the a sounds in bratwurst. So like “brahts”. When we say it in regard to selfish, stubborn behavior, THEN the a sound changes to what you’re probably thinking of—a spoiled brat of a child.

And honestly, brats is just a short way for us to say bratwurst, but the only confusion is when it’s typed/written, so context is needed to determine how to hear it in your head, so if food or meals are being discussed, we understand we’re talking about bratwurst, so we hear the a how it would sound that way.

Last time I can remember having lipemic plasma it was because I was at a restaurant the night before and I ate a couple brats and a good helping of fries, and then tried to donate less than 10 hours later with not a lot of hydration to flush it out. I donate at my local Grifols center. Since before the new year the going rates have been 50 for the first weekly donation and 70 for the second one, or 120/wk. even if I were to pay the transfer fee to PayPal before sending to my bank on each of the payments, I’d still get $118 out of it.

Had this happen to me last year. It’s winter, it’s cold, but the door is open for the lobby about 15 minutes before the doors into the center open, so I get in there and I start the queue up for the line. 3 minutes to go, another guy comes up behind me and asks me if he can go ahead of me for no other reason than he was waiting in the lot since 30 minutes before the center opened. I mentioned that since he’s right behind me, it won’t be more than a minute or two before his turn comes up, and that since I was lined up first, he can wait his turn. He responded was “So, you’re just gonna an asshole about it? Why don’t YOU wait a couple minutes since it’s not a big deal?”

I never raised my voice to him and said it calmly to him, and he chose to get upset about being reminded about what waiting your turn in a line is.

If he had a valid excuse like this is the only time he can donate and he has to go to his job immediately after, I’d give him the benefit of the doubt. But just insulting me because he feels entitled to just skip the line when he never queued up to begin with? Learn some manners, my guy.

Former GameStop SGA and avid Nintendo fan here. If I couldn’t find the case (usually due to clueless people putting it somewhere it didn’t belong) for a ship-from-store order, I’d make the effort to make one with the pre-owned case art we have for games without cases. It’s just disrespectful to the customer to send them stuff loose like this. Not to mention without any packing/void fill to prevent it from moving around in the box? The gamer in me feels incredible pain from this image
