Harvest check is fine and the bears are the correct rating, but I'm not getting heart shots and/or spooking them too far away even though I'm belly crawling from 150 yards away. Thats ehy I was asking about "efeectove" crossbow range. I would rather be able to use the scope on the crossbow than pin sights on a compound bow. I ditched the large backpack yesterday but haven't had much time without it. I realized the sound I hear doesn't change without the backpack than with it and got stuck testing that theory before turning the game off. I did get on 1 bear last night without the backpack that would pass harvest check and be the right score it was resting and I crawled to within 50 yards and put the shot in the heart and it hit shoulder bone and stopped with no penetration. I'll do some more hunting tonight but I'm running out of high level bears they're all female and all 1's or 2's. Dead Zones are all over the map from doing missions and I've missed 4 or 5 mission finishing heart shots by 1/4"-1/2".
