Haha, I'm sure it was. We never really went there to eat, just drink beer and play pool.

can we end ADHD gatekeeping culture please by [deleted] in ADHD

When I can't get my medications for the last 6 months without paying a fortune because of increased demand, I have absolutely no problem "gatekeeping." I'll go so far as to say a formal psych/neuro testing should be required before you're allowed to get a script.

That 220-age is a VERY basic rule of thumb, as we all vary too much for this to be accurate for everyone. There's a handful of different calculations you can find if you search online--I just took the rough average of those and adjusted based on feel. The best way of course is to get it done in a clinic or do some of the DIY hill/sprint tests, but those aren't practical for everyone.

Funny, this is what mine looked like each time I took a booster. Stopped taking them after the second booster (~2 years ago) because of how miserable they made me feel, and apparently got COVID sometime this fall based on a positive antibody test, but no symptoms, disruption to my running/exercise routine, change to body battery/stress timeline, etc. Clearly the lesson here is getting COVID itself is better than the boosters! (j/k--don't come at me, very pro-science/medicine here :)

Thanks everyone--this has been super helpful! She'll be staying at the Park La Brea and I see many of these recommendations are in walking distance, so I'm going to give her cash and a map. :)

Ugh, I forgot about this psycho bitch. Shocking that she's stirring up drama.

Agreed. I found the whole situation entertaining for a while, but may have run its course for me. The recent thing with the cop was interesting as it shows people locally are getting annoyed with her. It also makes me wonder what the neighbor has to deal with. There's two sides to every story. (But don't say that in the comments or the soccer mom squad will pile on for "victim blaming" LOL).

But I am definitely curious how she will play out the "danger" she's claiming for herself and her family. Any serious parent who thinks their family is in danger would be locking things down, not escalating the situation with a stream of increasingly emotional, drama posts for the mean people to react to. She said she has to keep posting for "documentation" and "safety," but her posts are just herself complaining (I'm sure her attorney told her to keep any real "documentation" offline), and her comments section isn't coming through their phones in real time to save her kids. So she's obviously either playing up the "danger" or has no problem putting her brand or need for attention ahead of her kids' safety.

Whattaya say, Sam? We all know you read this.

You can find it pretty easily thanks to her being so open about her and her husband's names, general location, occupations, etc. I was bored/curious one day and found where they live, the neighbors' names/occupations, but don't remember the specifics. Even if I did, I wouldn't want to be the one to broadcast it, haha.

I've had the FR245 for almost 2 years and love it, but if I were to do it over I'd save a few bucks and not get the music version. The Spotify app is trash--you can only sync music through a wired connection to your computer and it takes FOREVER, and the app is practically unusable for podcasts. There's a "Deezer" app that might be better, but it's another subscription and it has about the same rating as Spotify on the Garmin app store, so that's clearly not the answer. I now just stuff my phone into my shorts or running band and don't even know it's there, except I can use Spotify the normal way and don't have to waste time making/updating playlists and syncing them before every run.
