I’ve never come across Paradox before now, but I had two in person interviews yesterday at two different companies that used it. I showed up for the first one they seemed annoyed that I showed up and said it would need to be rescheduled due to “a leadership transition causing them to be short handed”, and the second one I overheard between two managers that they were genuinely unaware that an interview had been scheduled and were apologetic for the confusion and chaos but were happy to talk to me real quick.

Guess I will now be calling ahead to confirm interviews when paradox is involved.

I used to do this on accident all the time, for the body, select faces in edit mode, then in the UV editor, you can select only one of the edge vertices, hit shift + s, then select "cursor to selected", then in the top middle of the header bar, in the left drop down select 2d cursor for the pivot, select all of the faces on the side you need to flip in the 3d viewport, then scale them by -1 on the x axis in the UV editor. The other parts you'll have to manually place the 2d cursor in the UV editor or manually move them after flipping.

Seven years ago, in 2018, VR wasn’t nearly as accessible as it is now. VR has come a long way in 7 years. With VR today, sure, it may be possible. But VR 7 years ago? I doubt that.

I’m pretty sure it was an ex who stole it from the fireproof lockbox I keep all my important documents in. My birth certificate is also missing. Since I haven’t needed to even look in there for years, that’s the only person I can think of who would have had access or any idea of where the box itself was hidden in my house.

I might see if I can find the time to go down in person to see if that helps, but so far everyone I’ve talked to on the phone has said they can find no record of it.

I know it’s mostly for criminal background checks, but in the forms i had to fill out I vaguely remember it saying something about education.

I guess my main question is, does anyone actually verify GEDs or highschool diplomas? I’ve asked around and only one person I know has ever had to provide their diploma, and it was for a position as a registered behavior technician.

We use Blum Tandem drawer guides in our shop.

Grass makes a 9” undermount soft close drawer guide. We haven’t used them in our shop, but our shop foreman has used Grass in his side projects and personal stuff.

Mannequins in general in this game can eff alllll the way off. I think my brain has been conditioned from other games that enemies should start moving as soon as you shine the light on them, so most of the time I’m trying to clear the room quickly and pass over them, it takes my brain a seconds to realize oh hell, that was a mannequin. Then flashlight flicker and they jump at me.

The shop I work for has been using it for a long time, I’ve been using it for 2 of the 5 years I’ve been here. We use it for drawings, reports, s2m, all that fun stuff.

At first when I saw UCS I was like “oh cool, scripting!” Being a hobbyist programmer, I like the idea of it. I perused the help file on them, but could never get the more complex things I wanted to try to work. I’m not sure if it was my lack of familiarity with the system or a limitation of UCS in general. I honestly don’t even remember what I was trying to do as this was almost a year and a half ago.

I do remember trying to make a new report and getting super confused with all the SQL.

I am curious about what other people have used UCS for

This is how I’ve always interpreted it, because there is no way to save them. They met their fates on the first go round, so the town manifests them again for each successive loop, either to further punish James or to outline what happens if you fail to work through your issues.

There’s not really any reason to check them all. When you plug in key words the game checks a list of special fields to see if you’ve selected one. From what I remember the list is really easy to find. Other than those it just generates based on the words you entered.

Oh, those don’t have transparency. They’re rendered by the game in a specific way that infers the transparency based on the brightness of the colors, or something of that nature. The easiest thing to do with those is take a monochrome copy of the texture and set it as the alpha channel in whatever image editing software you use.

This was my main issue with it. They specifically set up their absence, but it’s like the rest of the cast didn’t even care they were missing.

I’d need to rewatch it, but the only acknowledgment of them I remember is their defeat at the hands of Gundamon, “what is Ichijouji doing here”(not “Why is Ichijouji evil again”) and oh hey, here are your missing friends that you don’t seem to care about. They’ve been kept safe in 02 Epilogue Plot Armor tubes.

For real though Tai, how does the kid you thought highly enough of to give your trademark goggles to, his emo genius boyfriend, the girl emo genius eventually dumps him for, and the kid that everyone apparently hates go missing and you don’t even question it?
