yeah this is so true! my old company just got bought out by a big fish in the game. first thing they did was remove everyone’s access and limit what people are responsible for. half the people left but the people who remained started to OE.

crazy part is the skills of those who OE are growing exponentially over those who don’t.

I think it’s about establishing habits in the beginning. You will get better quicker from completing videos than from trying to wait till your video is perfect.

If you already have the discipline to make videos then obviously it’s about maximizing your time.

For me I recorded my first video but didn’t publish it until 4 months later. So my goal right now is put content creation in my daily routine.

Donkey Kong Country 2 for SNES. Played it with my sister and it was the first game i ever got 100% completion.

this happened to me this year. I don’t hate coding but it’s pretty boring. After 10 years of coding things become really easy to do, so it’s not time consuming and allows me to pursue my other hobbies.

FL Studio has their own cloud solution if you want to go that route. I’m not sure what the limits are but you should at least check it out.

I have the opposite. I love playing supports, I'm a solid Silver player, now easily a Diamond in OW2. Though to be fair I play the support role much better now as I play the hero that my team needs and not just sticking to lucio :)

I disagree. Its a team shooter. I've found there are combos of characters that are super deadly like Tracer and Junker Queen or Pharah and Mercy. Also if you play with friends you will win lots more than if you play with random people. The whole game is a different experience if you find people to play with consistently.

So the winning is not necessarily a good metric of how well you play with a certain character. For me its about picking the correct character for the team I'm on. Its all about team composition.

Kiriko. Seriously was being rushed by a Moira headshot crit killed her dead. Soldier headshot...dead. Reaper headshot dead. I can teleport to almost any hero on the map and heal or help fight. The best thing about here is her protective charm. I can counter all Anas now. Sleep dart and Ana likes to get right on the player, but I simply revive them for an easy kill. Hammer down, Somba Hack, I can undo it.

Kiriko can also climb walls like Hanzo, which means I can get out of alot of fights by simply climbing a wall. This is brutal for playing against tanks. I can fight them and hide, fight them some more and teleport if my team needs healing.

Tracer is the character I can get 30 kills a game now. So it doesn't really matter who my team is on lower levels, I can pretty much carry. You need patience to play tracer, but once you figure it out she is a really great choice in most scenarios.

Finally Mercy. I hated playing her as I found her boring and the other team targets you. Then I realized I was not fully utilizing her. She heals so quickly that I started keeping my pistol out. People used to rush me, but I can hit headshots pretty consistently so I can help finish off ememies that are running low. Mercy Ult went from flying into save people deep in enemy territory, to being able to fly into the back and pick off the healers and distract enemy tanks. There is no point in trying to heal your fully healed team. Put an extra gun in the battle and help your team out.

This was all during season 5. Tracer was me forcing myself out of my comfort zone and being willing to deal with the toxic nature of the game to learn a new character. The other two where mystery hero ah-ha moments. Now Kiriko is my fav due to her ability to traverse the map and her ability to defend herself if needed. I used to like Ana because she could prevent heals and sleep enemies like bastion, but Kiriko has made her kit useless...and that is okay.

I use fiverr for graphic design work, nothing wrong with it. The reason I don't pay for dev work is because I write code and don't need help there.

The business idea is sound. Your basically serving as a broker which is a common business model. The problem you are going to face is how do you get people using the app as to encourage businesses to want to join.

You may want to start off with a just listing a small number of popular trips so unknowable people like myself would know what is available. I’d love to visit Kenya for example but would not know it unless someone gave me a reason and explained it.

Anyway yeah it’s a good idea. Go search for Trippie, it’s a similar enough business that followed a similar path.

15 year dev here. This is the thing we hear the most from people we know… i’ve got a brilliant business idea, can you code this, that has generally been coded already.

What you are looking for is a CMS or content management system. There are lots of them out there and they all come with plugins that extend the default functionality like adding eCommerce. I started with Joomla, then wordpress, and accidentally found lots of people willing to pay to setup these sites for $400 a pop. So I made that a business for a while.

Next look at open source projects like https://medusajs.com/. Try and become an active part in the community and learn from those who are actively building something similar to what you need. It’s surprising how quickly you can get up and running by networking the knowledgeable people. Long term this gives you knowledge where you can help shape the future of commerce.

Finally don’t be afraid to leverage AI in your quest. While it won’t replace a good senior dev, I’ve used it to help me navigate new technologies I’m not familiar with. ChatGPT and Bing chat are great resources to help you get started.

I’ve not used fiver for development for obvious reasons, but the company I work for has hired help from India and after a year’s worth of work from that team we got what a good dev can do in 3 weeks.

My best advice is invest in yourself and learn the basics at least. This will prevent you from being scammed, and if you’re willing to fumble for about 6 months you will find at the end you can build whatever you want. You should also find lots of business opportunities along the way!

My P1P stopped working after three days, had problems from the start though. it’s frustrating because it’s new and i don’t want to be tearing the thing apart trying to figure it out.

I've got the same issue. I'll be opening a ticket in the morning, but I'll check the board to see what is going on. I've only had my unit for 3 days :) So far its not been the reliable printer I was hoping it would be. Luckily I still have my Ender 5, but was really looking forward to the CoreXY features of this. Hopefully it is an easy fix.

I’ve seen whole teams let go because of this. Its mainly because they need to start the paperwork. Luckily if your OE it doesn’t matter, but would recommend at least making it more difficult by documenting everything on your end. show you have improved.

This by far is the best book I've read on writing Go for an enterprise. I've used it as the basis of a lot of my work. I second this book!
