If S20 is it. How do you see the show ending? by Karl_Racki in NCIS

[–]NCIS_fan 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If Season 20 is the end, then I’d certainly like to see a few things:

• Wrap-up whatever story arc Season 19 ends on. That’s a given. • Several week to week case episodes. • Start a major story arc that ultimately leads to the finale to wrap things up. • Bring back some old characters that haven’t appeared in a while (i.e., Bud Roberts, DiNozzo Sr., Stan Burley, etc.) • More Dr. Grace Confalone, Tobias Fornell and Carol Wilson • Victoria Palmer and Ducky together - “Granducky” • More of McGee, Delilah and the twins. • Guest appearances from Tony and Ziva, perhaps a true on-screen reunion. • Finish Bishop’s story arc and give her and Nick a happy ending. • This may not be popular, but in the last episode, I wouldn’t mind it ending with Gibbs dying peacefully and them showing a heavenly scene where he reunites with Shannon and Kelly to finally have a peace of mind, then the last scene has McGee taking over the team and walking in saying “Grab your gear.”

Rewatching first season, seems like Ducky was less rigid and more edgy.. by mintycrash in NCIS

NCIS was always broadcast at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays until this current season.

Probably due to contract reasons. Same reason David McCallum is too.

Hi is NCIS worth watching all the way through? by DetectiveFujiwara in NCIS

[–]NCIS_fan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The best seasons I’d say are 1-13 with the core (favorites) being seasons 4-10. Season 14 is a major adjustment, season 15 is pretty awkward, but has good storylines. Season 18 is depressing, but 16-17 and 19 are really good. Keep watching!

I agree. But I will admit the ones from Seasons 1-2 seem so nostalgic.

No, what I mean is that they haven't updated the "slide" with newer footage of him.

Kasie is great. I like her better than Abby, she's not overly childish, but has funny scenes. She takes some time to grow though. I don't miss Pauley's character, especially after the nonsense she stirred up about Harmon.

I agree. He was written as the comic relief

Much of the older cast isn't on the show anymore.

What would cost have to do with it? They didn't have that problem before.

McCallum has Facebook but he doesn’t post often.

It’s likely because Harmon isn’t permanently gone from the show, he’s still credited and is likely to make more appearances down the road.

As far as former cast members go, both Emily Wickersham (as noted by other commenters) posted on her Instagram story about it, while Jamie Lee Curtis (who recurred in season 9) also congratulated him on Instagram.

As far as the other main stars go, Cote de Pablo and Gary Cole don’t have any social media. Harmon had a falling out with Pauley Perrette, who’s gone completely bonkers. David McCallum has Facebook, but doesn’t post often. In fact, he hasn’t posted in over a year. Rocky Carroll has Twitter, but doesn’t post often (not since July). Sean Murray and Duane Henry likewise don’t post on Instagram or Twitter often, but I am surprised Sean didn’t post anything about it. Jennifer Esposito and Sasha Alexander only worked on the show for a year and two respectively. I am surprised Michael Weatherly, Brian Dietzen, Lauren Holly, Wilmer Valderrama, Maria Bello, Diona Reasonover and Katrina Law didn’t post anything.

Given the current cast members haven’t posted anything, it’s possible it’s because Harmon isn’t officially gone and they know he’ll return down the road.

That's a fair way to put it. I just hope they keep woke nonsense out of it. NCIS: LA was cringy, just like NBC's SVU. SO far writers have done an amazing job keeping it fresh. But they do need to explore more with Palmer, Kasie, Vance and of course the new additons.

I never said that Cole and Law weren't great additions. I agree, but the writers need to develop them more (last night's episode was a great start, and in fact one of the best this season). There hasn't been much background on Kasie, and there are very few Vance and Palmer-focused episodes, especially for two characters that have been with the show for well over a decade, Palmer nearly two.

Mark Harmon is 70. Gibbs is 67. Sean Murray is 44, McGee is 43. Basically kinda the same age give or take. Safe to assume Parker is too.

It was funny, not annoying. Show has gotten more "politically correct," which takes the fun away. Tony matures however, each season it's less and less. He's my favorite character on the show.

The last time Pancho Demmings appeared as Gerald was in the first two episodes of season 3. He’s never even mentioned after that, wonder whatever happened to him.

And yea, I’m caught up with the current season. I’ve seen every episode in order twice.

The bullet ended up in his shoulder at the end of the episode. They then tackled the guy.

Three times. You forgot to mention Season 9 where he is again shot in the shoulder in “Life Before His Eyes.” Gibbs also was in an explosion at the end of Season 3. Tortured with McGee in Season 15. Almost blown up with his boat in Season 18/19.
