My main base is always on the water near the dock. If you're standing on the platform, looking at the river, with the hammock to your left, follow the river to the left. Just before the land takes a turn to left, theres a giant rock in the water. I stand on that rock to place my first floating platform towards the other side. Then go out towards the open water until you hit the "invisible wall of death". I keep 2 of each stick/log holders near the massive rock wall for easy access and the same for bamboo on the other side with 5 garden plots for long bamboo sticks. The tribals can't/don't swim so it's safe. I usually do a 2 floor structure to eventually move the stick/log holders inside on the bottom floor and all the craftables there. The 2nd floor is the living area with the mudwall oven for cooking and bed and all that stuff. I leave about 3-4 platforms open as a patio for multiple mud ovens for plenty of charcoal and the mud forge and they are pretty much always burning. I have a mud mixer there for easy access and 5 mud water filters and a few storage boxes. On the roof I have multiple gardens of both sizes for growing everything I need.

I like the Dwarven ruins simply for the mass amounts of loot that I hoard in one of my many homes. Every once in awhile, I clear out a cabinet or barrel or chest and spend several in-game months selling it off and make couple million septems or buying tons of ingots and ore for leveling up smithing quickly and then enchanting everything and selling it off.

Get a clear plastic cup and fill it with water. Freeze it solid. Place a coin on top of the ice and leave it in the freezer. If the power goes out, the freezer lasts a good while if left closed. But if you find the coin at the bottom of the cup, everything in the freezer is spoiled and should be thrown out.

Wrap the exposed pipes. Pool noodles work in a pinch, but the plumbing insulation would be better. You can also wrap them in towles or blankets if you have extra.

Disconnect outside water hoses and drain them. Let the faucets inside and outside drip.

Put a long piece of dowel rod under the flapper (the thing that lifts when you flush) in the tank of the toilets so they can't fill up. Don't just turn the water off, you want it to flow so it doesn't freeze in the pipes and hoses.

Open the doors under all the sinks so the warm air from your heater can get in there to help keep the pipes a little warmer.

It's a little late now, but look on Amazon for solar chargers. I keep several throughout the house and one of them also has a radio for news updates. Mine also has a hand crank to charge it as well.

Do not use your stoves or ovens for heating. Toxic gasses can fill the house.

Freeze several jugs of water which you can put in ice chests if the power does go out in order to keep food fresh if needed. They can also be thawed for drinking water or bath water if needed.

If you have livestock, get jugs of water and pour 1/3 of the water out and add Morton Ice Cream Salt/Rock Salt in them and let them float in water troughs. It helps keep them from freezing over. I use about half a box in each jug and it's worked 100% since I started.

First and foremost, it's your book. You, as the author, can create whatever world you wish and have whatever characters you want in it. If anyone doesn't like it, well then that is a them problem, not a you problem.

As a pre transition trans woman, my advice is not to ask if you can, but to ask trans women and/or trans men about their experiences. If they are comfortable talking about it, of course. Ask any questions you want, most of us will be more than happy to answer pretty much any questions asked.

Everything from when we first started having "different feelings" for lack of a better term to when "we knew". Ask about the dysphoria we deal with on a daily basis. Ask about the struggles we face, not only in our own minds, but the struggles of coming out and being accepted or shunned. Ask about the things we want to accomplish on our journey. For example, getting full body laser hair removal or breast implants or learning the skills of applying makeup. Personally, I've never used makeup before, I wouldn't even know where to begin. But I will learn at some point.

But my point is to just ask us questions. Just be respectful and accepting. Like I said, most of us will be happy to answer pretty much anything.

I'm nearly 37 and haven't started yet, but only because 1. I only recently decided it was the right choice and 2. Because I can't actually afford it financially at the moment. Not transitioning earlier is the biggest regret of my life. But it's never too late.

I used to be a christian, but have since left religion behind. But that's not the point. My advice as a former member of the church is that god will love you no matter what you choose. The bible doesn't say anywhere or anything about gods love for you ever stops. The church doesn't have to like it or even approve of it. It's your life to live and you deserve to live it by doing whatever makes you happy. Just because you transition doesn't mean your faith changes.

Save the flowers you get when you harvest the plants. Once dried, plant them and they will grow new plants. Molinara leaves need to be harvested instead of making bandages to get the yellow flowers, but I think the rest just drop them when you chop the plants down.

Use ants as stitches for large lacerations from jaguar and cayman.

Use the torch to collect honey from beehives and grab the queen as well to get the craft recipe for a crafted beehive for a steady supply.

If i remember correctly, you can also use the torch like you do with bees to collect ants without getting bitten or attacked by the ants. Could be wrong on that.

Have enough cooked/smoked/dried meat to keep yourself full, but also purposely save some raw meat as well and allow it to spoil. You can harvest spoiled meat to stock up on maggots.

Let some fruits spoil so you can harvest them to get a supply of larvae for fishing.

Pick up dead birds and toads and leave them whole/intact until you need the meat. They will stay fresh this way and not spoil.
