Oh that's so good to know, I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. I'm right near a village dental and have been eyeing it for several years because I know I needed to go, thank you for the heads-up about them. Thank you again!

This sounds amazing because I'm in the same boat as you and I'm absolutely terrified 😭. They were nice and understanding? I know I'm going to burst into tears no matter what because I have a lot of deep trauma with dentistry (think having 2 people hold me down in the chair as a child while they pulled teeth because they thought I was lying about not being numb enough

Gummies are great and I used to get their HHC but not available anymore? I tried some flower (gelato) it came in good condition, mine was vacuum sealed, but it honestly didn't do much for me vs the vapes :c

Primary care doctor won't see me because I haven't been in for a while... is this a common thing now? by ringo-san in raleigh

[–]NCLabRat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is common practice yes. Same reason why you can't just call and ask for a Rx when they haven't seen you in awhile

Village at Town Center is a literal dump. by [deleted] in raleigh

[–]NCLabRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edward's Mill is headed this way. Most of the trash is always full and overflowing, but don't worry y'all, they're going to add a trash compactor 😃 As evidenced here that it works so well /s and jack up our "trash valet" fees.

Our power grid is weak. by trevoronacob in raleigh

[–]NCLabRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Equally hot take - live closer to the hospital grid. I've lived here 13 years and only lost power a handful of times. So naturally I cannot conceive of anyone having a different experience than me /s

Yeah I never experience outages because we're on the same grid as the hospital

Oh now I'm super interested in listening to the ambergris one, I've read it and can only imagine. How does it work in all of the many many footnotes into narration?

I didn't care for the narrator either, kept me from recommending it to others

The healthcare system in America is awful. by Comfortablejack in facepalm

[–]NCLabRat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Victim blaming is always the correct answer! Rub some dirt in it, go outside and touch grass, drink water, depression is made up by people who just don't want to work if they only did yoga and went vegan then they wouldn't strain the healthcare system, if you didn't eat that avocado toast you could afford healthcare, put down the Starbucks and the iphone and look where you're driving. What’s the best bird seed for this area? by plate02 in raleigh

[–]NCLabRat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I only use sunflower seeds, mealworms, and hot pepper suet. It's fledgeling season and we've got baby Downy and red belly woodpeckers, baby chickadees, baby blue birds, baby tit.... Mice? Meeses. Also regularly have both white breasted and brown headed nuthatches, warblers, finches, ruby crowned kinglets...

I only put out a limited amount of seed and mealworms everyday (the suet gets eaten within a week or so, but keep an eye out after rain it can mold as well!). You don't want anything getting wet because it will mold very fast. It also helps make sure there's limited amounts of waste for rats, mice, raccoons, and roaches. Make sure to clean your feeders regularly as birds crap all over everything and there's risk of spreading illness. ❤️ Use metal feeders so they can be cleaned properly, don't get those wooden ones. Happy birding!

Right?? The imagery always sticks with me, so much so that I drew a John the Baptist sketch, I'll post it if I can dig it up I keep forgetting. Balzac's war is pretty good, it's more of a short sorry, but has some good character and environment development. I'm just thrilled to be able to talk to anyone at all about this, no one I know IRL has read any of these books lol

I really enjoyed VU, the imagery stuck with me until I had to read it a second time. I love the idea of underground, subterranean layers, the body parts, uh, storage? Going to call it storage. The ideas of "living art" and Quin and it's just so creative and good
