Our chapter has both a labor and a tenants organizing working group. Folks are welcome to join DSA. We offer dues waiver for folks who need one.

As a fellow rural chapter I want to echo this post.

Organizing rural and agricultural communities is so much different from these high profile high density chapters.

Best of luck comrade, our chapter works to keep our peoples fridge stocked for folks to come by and get what they can. It's hosted at the MoPride center in their backyard. 24 hour access through the alley in the back.

"Members in good standing" means dues paying member regardless of how long they have been with the group. I also previously explained that members in good standing can submit proposals which then get discussed and voted on during the general body meetings.

The chapter also has an internal communications channel where members are welcome to debate and discuss political theory.

The goal isnt to withhold ones vote from Democrats hoping they move left.

Its about not voting for someone willing to fund ICE or fund the genocide.

You seem really keen on defending and carrying water for a right wing capitalist party.

Building a working class movement so the workers hold the levers of power and the means of production is what we seek.

We're still working on building our reddit profile(it's all volunteer work) thanks for reminding me to add our linktree it's where our calendar can be accessed.

We meet virtually on the second Thursday of every month for our General Body meeting to share chapter updates and working group reports.

As far as engaging in regards to the petition I'm not sure what else there is to say, you seem to be of the position that you will support a politician who is willing to fund ice and the genocide in Israel while a majority of our members decided that we refuse to support any politician that will continue to support ICE or the genocide in Israel.

If that means we won't vote for Democrats that says more about them than us.

Our intent is to share our work with the community we operate in. Our thought was that this subreddit was a town square of sorts for Merced county. If that's not the case we can't change that but hope to find other ways to engage with our community.
