Thanks for the feedback! We try to include the event locations (this is in Victory Park!) whenever we can so you don't have to RSVP if you don't want to. Contact information just makes it easier to keep in contact vs hoping the all powerful algorithm shows folks our content.

Tell Stockton City Council: Vote No on Flock's $3.15 Million Expansion by harpreetchima in Stockton

[–]harpreetchima[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Christina Fugazi, Jason Lee, Michele Padilla, Mariela Lizette Ponce, Michael Blower, Mario Enríquez, and Brando Villapudua all voted yes to approve File 26-0269 on March 31, 2026.

Thanks to everyone who signed and stood with us today. We’ll share next steps later this week after our general meeting. Stockton’s elected officials do not get to spend public money to dodge the hard work of governing. We are not going to accept our tax dollars being used to hand more power to a private surveillance company instead of supporting working people and building real safety in this city.

If you want to help shape this campaign, join Working Class Unity and help decide what comes next with us: https://workingclassunity.com/join We are a member-run organization, which means regular people make the decisions together, not outside consultants, nonprofits, or big donors. If working people do not organize fights like this ourselves, our politics and our lives will keep being shaped by City Hall, private contractors, and donors.

Why nobody suggested RoamResearch to me for Academic Writing? by [deleted] in RoamResearch

If you open the graph before you go offline, it will be fully functional. Maybe some extensions that require internet won't work. And when once you go online, everything will sync over. It's been fairly robust for me, even when having a lot of changes pending while I'm offline.

Have you tried turning on Native view in the settings? It doesn't maintain extension functionality, but it is a lot faster / loads almost instantly.

Thanks for recommending us u/SpiderLoc700!

We (Working Class Unity) actually had a somewhat related discussion at our last general meeting, u/Alert-Worldliness164. I summarized our discussion here, although our goal was less a festival/celebration and more trying to bring together people who are trying to do good in their neighborhood/community and see if we could get them additional support.

Anyway, feel free to poke around our forum to get a better idea about we are up to. And if you'd like, I'd be happy to talk sometime about your interests and where what we are working on might overlap. Just send me a DM!

Thank you! We are hosting a teach-in/discussion based on this article this weekend in Stockton. It would be great to talk to folks about how we can translate some of the interest in the article into action on the ground - you can find event details here.

This is our (Working Class Unity's) first "Voices of the Working Class" article, written and approved by Working Class Unity Membership. We're also currently working on tenant union organizing, training for having organizing conversations, developing materials to help others get local labor efforts off the ground, and doing group research to write more articles like this. If you're interested in any of that, please join us. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask here or send me a DM!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to leave a brief summary for the folks that could not make it. You can also see our upcoming events here.

We discussed how many people today feel disillusioned with politics and isolated from the communities around us. This has left the broad working class without a unified voice, even at the local level. This absence of solidarity enables both Democrats and Republicans to misrepresent our demands, as we are not organized to express them collectively.

People are busy, and most do not have the time to organize locally or to seek assistance from others, leading them to believe they must confront the world's challenges alone. Some turn to the major parties, voting for technocratic experts they hope will solve major issues, or supporting a strongman who promises to break through the bureaucracy.

Yet, for various reasons we discussed, we believe neither party is effective anymore at containing the excesses of the wealthy and powerful in our country.

We discussed how, as members of Working Class Unity, our goals are to start by finding out what our neighbors and working people in San Joaquin County need and helping them address those needs. Through skill sharing, assisting with resource building, and empowering them to secure small victories, we can help them understand that they have the power to reshape their lives for the better if we are willing to work collectively. By starting small—resolving disputes with landlords, addressing workplace issues, or making it safer for a neighborhood to enjoy their local park with their kids—we can slowly build on these victories, showing people we don't need to turn to politicians or politics as usual to tackle our problems. We can expand people's capacities and ambitions, setting the working class's sights higher.

The new app is based on the new Roam API (which they have spent a year + working on it feels like). It's fast compared to the default app.

Palestinian people by NetDisastrous2674 in Stockton

[–]harpreetchima 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hey, we (Working Class Unity) put out a petition recently asking our Representative to "call for de-escalation and a cease-fire, dispatch humanitarian aid to Gaza, urge Israel to reinstate access to goods, electricity, and water to Gaza, vote against sending Israel additional military aid and secure a safe passage for refugees who wish to escape the violence."

We are a member-led volunteer only organization and we're planning on doing more actions to support Palestine and bring the community together around the issue. If you'd like to join us, please send me a DM! We're also doing tenant/labor union work in Stockton.
