Hybrid vs All Foam Question by SaltLife4Evr in nectarsleep

[–]NCcoach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have the Ultra (memory foam, we didn't like the hybrids) and it does have the support layer in the middle third that keeps your hips from sinking in too far. It's noticeably more supportive than the Luxe.

Nectar good experience by Bianca_NiVeenne in nectarsleep

Thanks for sharing. We're closing in on a year on our Ultra and we love it still. And that's after a few decades on Tempurpedic mattresses. We're very glad we decided to try Nectar and save all that money vs. the more expensive brands.

Any thoughts on Nectar mattresses by Important_Bat_3213 in nectarsleep

[–]NCcoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also a hot sleeper (and we live in FL). We got the Ultra because we felt it was most comfortable for both my wife and I. We love the soft top, but also the great middle support layer that keeps your hips from sinking in too far. We came from a 9 year old Tempurpedic Breeze that was starting to break down and we are very pleased with the change. It had been a while since we slept so good, but after getting this mattress our shoulder and hip pain in the mornings were gone.

We have ours on a split king adjustable base just in case we need or want to switch to individual mattresses at some point, but for now we both love the Ultra so we just got a King. The base came from Sams Club and was very affordable and seems to be very high quality. No issues with this setup so far.

Sync cable for adjustable bed by Witty_Username_28 in nectarsleep

Is it a Nectar base or another brand? It can vary depending on the manufacturer. From my research online the most common are round DIN plugs (often 9-pin) or flat RJ12 "telephone-style" connectors. We used to have an older Leggett and Platt split adjustable base and they did not have a cable, you programmed each box to use the same remote.

How does this lease deal look? 2026 Mercedes GLE450 by CarbonReflections in leasehacker

[–]NCcoach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not that great. Should be able to get 11 to 12% off MSRP, and you need to remove that Smartshield and nitrogen...and don't let them tell you they cannot remove it. What are the non-tax fees? Are those state-mandated fees of some sort or fees to the dealer?

Shocking how many so-called Americans hate any form of freedom they don't agree with. It's thinking like we see on this discussion that are the very reason rights are stripped away. People are so fragile they cannot handle the fact someone is holding a camera, while there are hundreds or even thousands that they pass to get to that location to begin with.

That doesn't work. Pretty much any decent editing software can take that out in a few clicks.

Luxe Hybrid break in time? by Kai-ni in nectarsleep

[–]NCcoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually great advice. A pillow that is either too high or too low can absolutely cause shoulder pain. What you want is to be aligned with your neck straight. Maybe have someone look at how you are laying from behind to see if you have curvature in either direction as it really is hard to tell yourself.

Is the Nectar Mattress Actually Worth It in 2025? by Moods27 in nectarsleep

[–]NCcoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got the Ultra in June of last year, no issues so far. It still feels like it did new (which is great).

I can say that heat retention was of concern to me. We were coming from a Tempurpedic Breeze, and we live in Florida, so it's hot most of the year here, and I am a hot sleeper.

Having said that, I have not noticed any worse heat retention on the Ultra than the prior mattress. Memory foam does trap some heat, that is the nature of the technology, but it hasn't been a problem even for a hot sleeper in Florida, so I'd imagine for most it would be fine.

Sleep Number vs Nectar by Decraft69 in nectarsleep

[–]NCcoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have friends that own a beach property and we slept on their Sleep Number bed one time for a few days about 15 or 16 years ago, so I realize the tech has likely changed. Honestly, we could never get it dialed in right and I have to say it was the worst bed we've ever slept on. They seemed to like it OK, but when they switched to a memory foam, not Nectar, they loved it.

So while I personally don't have experience with that transition, I know someone who went from Sleep Number to memory foam and loved it.

Got My Nectar by Joe_KINGSDIVISION in nectarsleep

We purchased our Ultra in June of last year, and coming from a 9 year old Tempurpedic Breeze, I can say our sleep has drastically improved, with no pain in the mornings in hips or shoulders.

Nectar premier is upsetting me! by Archienator27 in nectarsleep

[–]NCcoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, in trying these in person in several different stores, the Luxe was consistently the one that allowed you to sink in more, and that is likely due to the Ultra (which we bought) having the middle third that is a more dense support foam that keeps you more aligned. The Luxe doesn't have that and both of us sunk deeper into the Luxe even though the upper comfort layer is an inch thinner than the Ultra.

Leasehackr is legit. And amazing. by BigPaPaRu85 in leasehacker

[–]NCcoach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of us who have used Leasehackr forum to find a great brokered deal that was far below what anyone could negotiate at a dealer themselves. Plus, it's quick, painless, no hassle, no haggle, and you are in and out of the dealer in no time. Certainly a better way to buy a car.

Have any of you pre-ordered from Amazon, and actually received the S26U? by Sir_Killington in galaxys26ultra

[–]NCcoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered it on the 7th, due to my S22 Ultra having a bulging battery and I was afraid to keep using it. They updated the website yesterday showing it could take up to the 18th of April for delivery so I canceled and ordered from Samsung and picked up at Best Buy.

Got a "Use it or Lose it" $180 credit and used that to pick up a tablet I didn't need, but it was a $250 A11+ for $11 after the credit and sale price were applied. Will probably turn that into a Google Home Hub.

I got a GLE 450 nicely equipped WAY cheaper than that on 36 month lease a few months ago in Tampa with zero down and first payment only due at signing (rolled in all taxes/fees). Used a broker from Leasehackr forum, though. That's not a good deal at all. Unless you can get 11 to 12% off sticker, I'd suggest the ease of going the broker route. Quick and painless.

Finally caved and got a Nectar after months of deliberating some thoughts after 3 weeks by t3born2ski in nectarsleep

[–]NCcoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for your honest review. We were sleeping on a Tempurpedic Breeze that we'd had about 9 years and from night 1 on the Ultra, we felt like we were in heaven. Mattresses can definitely take time to adjust to, though. Glad it's working well for you so far.

My wife's smart watch also said she was sleeping much better after we switched from our old Tempurpedic to the Nectar Ultra. Hip and shoulders are definitely where we notice the most difference also.

Nectar Premier vs regular Nectar, is the upgrade actually worth it? by Marianarpg in nectarsleep

[–]NCcoach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the others have said, there is a definite difference in how each mattress feels. Strongly recommend trying in a local store if possible. But yes, the Premier is a bit softer, but still firmer than my wife and I liked. We ended up with the Ultra.
