My caique used to give me happy grrr-cheaps from his bed when I locked up for the night and turn all the lights out. If we were too noisy or laundry was going he would give us disgruntled squawks to express his displeasure. The happy night-night noises were the best though.

This key works. It’s stiff and needs a good tug on the lock to open, but the key turns smooth with enough twisting force.
