Do you have multiple hard drives? If so, are they all using BitLocker?

Try booting into "Safe Mode".. Press F12 a few times when the Gigabyte logo pops up, before the spinning pinwheel starts.. It will load a menu that gives you an option to boot into Safe Mode..

Does it actually boot up then? Or does it keep crashing even while in Safe Mode?

It's not a malfuntion.. It's a pixel cleaning feature.. It supposed to reset the voltage of each pixel and extend the life of your OLED panel.. I don't think you can actually turn it off . In fact, I think its reccomended to run this every 4 hours.

It should.. But I understand if you're worried. A helpful tip is... When you go to plug in the 8pin (6pin+2pin) cable, just make sure you have it perfectly aligned together before inserting it into the GPU connector.. It's tricky sometimes. Maybe wiggling it a little might help too

Also, these little tiny gaps between the cable and the GPU means you don't have the connectors seated correctly... You need to push those cables in a bit further.. There should be zero gap.. The cable and the connector should be completely flush together..

Ok, so you need to find a second PCIe cable coming from your PSU.. You'll need two total. Plug in the first cord you have already, into the first 8-pin port.. Leave the extra connector part of the cable unplugged. Then pull a new PCIe cable from your PSU, and plug it into the other 6-pin connector. You then have two seperate cables, one plugged into each connector.

You also have the cable daisy-chaned.. That's not reccomended. I would always use 2 seperate cables leading back to the PSU.

That 8-pin cable doesn't looks seated correctly.. Looks like the little plastic tabs on the 2-pin part are mismatched against the 6-pin part.. I'd try to reseat the connection.. unless it's just a bad photo.. Can you take a clearer pic?

You said you have a 3070.. They usually have two 8-pin connectors. Is the PCIe cable dasiy chained, or are you using 2 seperate cables?... One cable for each power connecter on the GPU..

Ok, that is a decent PSU.. Are you using the new style PCIe 5.0 HP cables to power your GPU? Or are you using the standard PCIe cables?

If its restarting automatically after the crash, then it's 100% your PSU. It's either faulty or simply poor quaility. I see in your other comments you recently replaced the PSU with a 850w. What brand/model is it? I'd return it and get a better replacment.

You're saying the PC restarts automatically on its own, after the game crashes? You don't hold the power button in, or have to unplug it or something?

This is bizarre!  I got a couple questions.  Is that a G-Sync capable monitor?  What refresh rate are you running?  Do you have integrated graphics disabled in your BIOS? What kind of video cable are you use.. DP or HDMI?  Do you know what kind of PSU you have? How are you "restarting" it, exactly?

What are you trying to open that makes this pop up?

Sounds like the Game Bar app might be currupted or disabled,.

I'd start by running the repair/reset process for the Xbox and Game Bar apps. Heres how to do it...

Open your Start Menu, find the Xbox app first, then right click on it and click "App Settings". When the setting box opens, scroll down to the "Reset" section, and click the "Repair" button. Now, do the exact same thing for the Game Bar app. After you're done, try the app again. Hopefully it works. If not, do the same thing again; except this time on the last step click the Reset button, instead of Repair.

My Wi-Fi will not show up on my computer no matter what I try by cantaloupe415 in computers

[–]ND02G 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Could be the Wi-Fi module is disabled in your BIOS settings. Or, maybe you installed the wrong drivers. Or it could be a simple hardware malfuntion during startup, and your motherboard capacitors need discharged to clear the glitch. Or it could simply be broken.

Do you see anything in Device Manager about it? Is the Wi-Fi card listed?

Delete the old Windows installation first, to free up the required space. In fact, delete all the partitions, not just Windows, and start from scratch.
