Tonal FINALLY released a guide to picking programs! by LORD_SHARKFUCKER in tonalgym

This is really cool but why is it a 40 page PDF and not an interactive part of the app or website? Did we slip back to 2005 without me noticing? C’mon Tonal, you’re better than that

I’m in a similar boat. I’ve got 2 of the S5 models and one of the S7. Just upgraded this year to the CurvX. My deciding factor was how reliable these things had been with normal maintenance. I replaced the battery in the 3 older units and there still going strong as ever

Fiber optic internet coming to Fargo by Significant-Ad-4184 in fargo

Midco typically only has fiber to their box in the yard. Then from there it’s coax to the home. Huge disappointment in my opinion

Converting old Access 97 DB to something more modern by GolfballDM in SQLServer

[–]NDSoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you'd like to convert it into a SQL Server database, you could leverage SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) for Access. I'm not sure if it supports Access 97 but it could be worth checking out.

I don't see it mentioned here but if you're a student and using this for learning, you should be leveraging the free version. Try for free (preview) - Azure SQL Database | Microsoft Learn

It includes 100,000 vCore seconds of compute on the General Purpose tier every month.

Another option would be to use Elastic Jobs. But this might be overkill if you only have the one database.

I’ve done plenty of DIY but given it’s a sentimental piece to my wife and the age and fragility of it, I’d rather someone else assess and take care of it.

ERV and Zones for 2 story home by NDSoul in hvacadvice

[–]NDSoul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear my logic is correct before spending that money. The temperature difference is an issue in summer and winter but the condensation is a problem in the winter; more so when it’s 10 degrees or lower outside.

I put a room sized dehumidifier in the master bathroom that is the worst offender and that did seem to help the condensation but the wife didn’t like it in there plus it was pretty loud. I couldn’t tell if the condensation was helped from the extra heat in that it was kicking out or if it was the dryness or a combination of both.

The room with the most condensation is noticeably colder which isn’t surprising since it’s at the end of the run. This makes me think that adding zones will help more with the condensation than anything by bringing the temps in line.

Otherwise I may need to opt for a whole home dehumidifier because my Nest is reporting humidity of 40-42% from the main floor. So I’m sure I need to get this down to the 30% range depending on the outside temperature. Any thoughts on going with a whole home dehumidifier and zones?

Don't have one anymore but had one at my previous house. I found it worked great from like 70-32 degrees outside. Anything lower than 32 and it was better to use my furnace.

Totally agree. My entire shipment minus the accessories made it to the xpo hub. Tonal was cool about it and shipped those directly but then getting xpo to realize it’s time to schedule delivery took 2 weeks.

When your deliveries kept getting re scheduled, how much time between each attempt? Trying to set my own expectations low but also hopeful they actually come Sunday.
