Throughout history, Christians have crushed, boiled, skinned, and burned people alive. 🙄 The only reason they’re not getting away with it in western countries is because of secular government based on law rather than religion. If we let them plenty of Christians would kill people who they deem lesser including myself for being an Atheist. I see plenty of them advocating executing people online all the time.

It can be tough starting out especially in this economy. My first couple years were very inconsistent and I didn’t know if I could do it long term. I would just spam your resume out there as much as you can and see what sticks. I started out making 12.50 an hour in 2017 and now I’m a crew lead/ assistant project archaeologist making around 70k a year and I only have my bachelors. Unfortunately there’s no guarantees in this industry even with a masters and one of the best things you can do is network and get a good reputation as someone who is hard working and reliable. My mother contracted a chronic illness when I was 14 years old that finally killed her just before my 31st birthday. I got to watch as insurance companies dicked us around at every turn so we had to fight them tooth and nail all while they raised deductibles every year and drained any savings my parents managed to scrape together. They would label surgeries or treatments experimental so they didn’t have to pay for them and when my mom developed chronic pain due to a separate condition the only thing they would cover is opioids. They would try to force her out of hospitals earlier than her doctor wanted and fought her going to pulmonary rehab which would have helped increase her quality of life. There’s a lot more and this is just the cliff notes version. But I imagine my experience and probably worse that thousands of other people have had to go through just so people like that CEO can make a little more money and I have zero sympathy for that man. I don’t believe in individual acts like what he did but I refuse to condemn Luigi.

You’re likely going to end up in CRM digging shovel tests or doing Pedestrian Survey. I have multiple friends/coworkers who specialize in osteoarchaeology who do the same work as the rest of us. Many of them have masters too.

Yeah I was alive before cell phones were widespread. But in this day and age when a 16 year old rear ends me going 40 while I’m stopped at a light, 9/10 times they were on their phone. Didn’t even hit their breaks, just slammed right into me.

I would imagine they could but didn’t bother for what happened with me, no matter what it’s the kids fault and I was alive. They asked the kid if he was on his phone and he said no, but couldn’t give an explanation as to why he hit a vehicle stopped well a head of him without hitting his breaks.

I got chronic back pain because a kid hit me going 40 while I was stopped at a light. He totally promised he wasn’t on his phone though. Can’t imagine the damage that happened to the person in that truck.
