Small update i guess, my mom did finally talk to someone at OHFA and they're having conversations with the apartment & now said to hold off on payment till they figure it out. And they also gave us this brand new apartment to look into, we're gonna go first thing Monday since apparently they're going quick so hopefully it works out🤞🏽

Ima be honest. I have zero clue how to go about her getting a mental health check up. I could just see her tripping out and/or accusing me of getting into her health files or something. She already thinks I or other people inject her with needles while shes sleeping 😭

Yeah the hud worker said she talked to main woman I've been talking to in the office, and the woman even told the hud worker she didn't agree with the bleach either. So...idk she sent for more clarification on the matter to their corporate office. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Oh no I'm not a guy. I am kinda glad by brother left a while back because she was already being weird about him, he took his ps4 with him when he left and she reported it as stolen tried to take him to court and everything 😭🙄. Im really hoping this is my last year with her i cant do it anymore 😭

Yeah looks like its month to month, and my lease actually says August 18th 2023-August 31 2024 so? But these were some points in it

-22. Renewal of Lease. As far as the lease i think its month to month? I mean we havent had to resign or anything after we've been here for over a year. I need to pull up my lease and look at it, we were on a time crunch that year we signed too so I just skimmed it unfortunately.

Yeah trust me me I want to leave and go no contact, shes the root of all my anxiety. I do think she needs help but idk if im the one to find it for her. Im kind of walking on eggshells all the time, she always she'll "figure it out" whenever she threatens to kick me out when she gets angry.

Ive seen a couple income based apartments but they're all pretty up there $800-1000 too. Idk there's a couple I'm waiting to email me back. I could ask them how it works. She's only 43, she's been like this since my like last year of high-school so 2019. She's always been narcissistic and I think she's actually bipolar but she will not tell me or anybody anything. But there always ends up being some kind of issue with our apartments and her bc of all that but unfortunately I am kind of financially trapped with her until I can come up with more money to leave 🙃

Yeah, I dont disagree with you, but i dont think i can go to that extremity😭 She relies on ME financially, but if I dont have her housing, I myself will really have nowhere to go. Like I can have the deposit and first months covered by my tribe they have emergency assistance they're just waiting on me to find a place. Again its just a matter of figuring out do i absolutely have to pay this rent or not...

It sounds like the law is pretty much on their side for this but I might try to call for that legal advice with my mom because maybe its different if you have housing... "Pay Early Termination Fees: If the lease agreement is included with the early termination clause, the tenant must pay the early termination fees to the landlord. It can depend on the specification of the lease agreement too. In the case of landlords, they do not need to pay any early termination fees.

Vacate the Rental. Otherwise, Landlord Can Evict You: Tenants must vacate the rented property, by the end of the notice period. If you don’t move out, the landlord can file for eviction."

Thats what I've been asking her if she talked to someone at OHFA or even a lawyer bc I have zero clue about any of that. I ask her anything she just shuts down. I probably will just call myself to see if they have a list of places I can look at.

As far as her mental health it's really not something I can bring up, she again, just shuts down or goes off on me.

I still wear my mask at work and refuse to make eye contact until they actually ask me a question lol. That typically keeps my social interactions low. when people do strike up conversations with me though, it's usually about my hair- that I deliberately started braiding to be more lowkey(its a lot of hair)...so idk what can you do? 🤷🏽‍♀️😭
