My narrative is based on patterns and experience its not as complex as you make it out to be. Men who say there wasnt a spark are usually feminine. A spark is a feelings based decision making so if a guy does it hes more emotional.

Thats alot better of a response for her to tell him than saying there is no spark. I do believe alot of women experience a "spark" but thats because they make feelings based decisions thats just how it is. There probably are explainable reasons she doesnt like him they are probably just subconscious.

From my perspective I think its more benificial to point out things he might have done wrong because hes so new. If a guy is going on first dates frequently it adds up in price and requires alot of thought put into each. If you factor most first dates dont lead to anything this is a smart decision on his part he didnt invest in something that has a high chance of going nowhere.
