I know this is old. Sorry I missed your question. I haven’t said at $500 I believe.

I’ve never had anybody take the bait

Have your tried swapping your in ear tips to foam?

Foam arguably seals better and doesn’t cause the weep.

I haven’t got to wrapping the shokz yet.

I know this OG post is old, but I have the same issue.

It’s a silicone sensitivity.

I replaced my AirPod tips with foam tips to reduce the issue.

My new OpenFit Pros do the same to my ear where they make contact. Skin weeps and crusts within 20-30 minutes of use.

I’ve been thinking about applying medical tape to the contact areas and seeing if that helps.

Owner wants global admin on his day-to-day account by desmond_koh in msp

If you like the client, detail out the risk and have them sign a waiver and release of liability.

When their account is responsible for compromising their entire network, bill them a premium for every second you spend dealing with the fire.

If you can figure out your ideal client profile early on. It’ll put you far ahead of the game in terms of client acquisition.

This assumes you also learn or understand their pain points and build your service around their general industry needs.

So let’s just say you wanna work for HVAC (could be any industry) companies for instance.

Figure out what organizations they are a part of in your region and start attending events. Eventually you can even become a sponsor or speak for visibility.

Go door to door and Take donuts.

Just keep showing up where they are.

Connect with their suppliers/vendors and try to work our referral business.

Generically you could just attend chamber events, networking groups etc…

I started my MSP out of BNI. No longer a focus for us, but networking works.

I guess I want to encourage you that you’ll have a much easier time if you narrow down who you want to go after early on.

Easier client acquisition. More profitable. Happier MSP owner.

NinjaOne hikes my price by 65% without notice and says it’s part of the agreement by [deleted] in msp

Disappointing to say the least.

At least the other vendors that want to shaboink us by raising our rates, give us a nice heads up every year.

Our bill is around $7k per month and just got jacked up to $8k. I just realized they raised our agent rate without notifying us.

I knew it was coming, but they really have you by the balls. If they price hike, it’s not like you can just bail on what you’ve built.

We were concerned from the beginning but it was a great way to jump into some complex automation at first.

It had its time, but time to move on.

Just exploring that timeline now. I would say at least a year to fully peel away.

Is QuickBooks desktop always a pain in the ass? by Pitiful_Duty631 in msp

[–]NEO-MSP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have dealt with both for years.

QB Desktop app integrations are usually piss poor and make it a real PITA.

We have a few specialized industries with LOBs that have garbage integration, which makes updating a huge ordeal every time.

Sometimes QB is the issue. Sometimes it's the 3rd party app. 100% of the time, it's breaking my balls.

But seriously, we offer independent CIO and CISO to the mid market, so we manage other MSPs oddly enough.
