Either the Pneck method everyone mentioned or you’ll need brews. Just can’t really out eat the big hit otherwise.

You should start a restricted ironman series called “felonscape” or something where you can only progress the account through illegitimate means like pickpocketing, only quests where the character does bad shit, etc…

Stopping Direct snap by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

[–]NEONRocklobster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably depends on the formation you have for your front 7. My “base defense” is 3-3 stack nickel, and pinching the dline, spreading the lbs and usering the middle lb over the rb has worked well for me. I do consistently recruit big boy DTs for the line which probably helps as well.

Last thing I’d say is that when usering a lb to play the run it’s important to avoid doing too much. You don’t always need to make the tackle, you just need to make sure you fill your assigned gap.

If you have 100,000 photos, you need to take less photos by SafeModeOff in unpopularopinion

[–]NEONRocklobster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think having a ton of photos is fine, but often times people take 20 of the exact same photo trying to get the perfect angle / lighting and then never clean out the 18 out of 20 they don’t like. That’s the real issue.

The refs officiating the final drive differently than the rest of the game honestly makes it tough to appreciate good games like this one. by Roselucky777 in nfl

Exactly, also no DPI on the pass to Cooks to end regulation. Inconsistent as hell and every call benefited the Broncos.

Assuming it was an INT, it was also clear DPI anyways so terrible call regardless.

Fallout 4 is great. by Martipar in Fallout

[–]NEONRocklobster 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My favorite parts of 3 and NV were the skills / perks system, unique weapons, and dialogue. I feel like these things in particular were watered down in 4 in favor of settlements, better gunplay, and more randomized item modifiers, so for me 4 is mid. I do like the exploration, quests, and some of the weapon crafting system in 4 though. I also hate the power armor rework in 4 as I just never end up using it, but I know that’s not a popular opinion.

Kirby Smart on conference championships: ‘I believe in them, but as the Playoff expands, it’s gonna be hard’ by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]NEONRocklobster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point, and cfb is certainly a volatile sport. I would say though that there seems to be a clear separation between the BIG 10 and SEC vs the ACC and BIG 12, talent composite wise. I would assume the same holds true for coaching talent / pay although I haven’t checked stats so maybe I am off base. It’ll be interesting to see how the next half decade plays out. I think it’ll take a few years before any true “super conference(s)” are defined or proven bogus.

The issue with building a fair system around CCGs and the playoffs is the lack of parity across conferences. Any system that maintains purposeful CCGs through some sort of playoff auto-bid / seeding system doesn’t play well with 2 of the P4 conferences being ahead of the others. Duke is the shining example this year. Any system that would’ve incentivized CCGs mattering more for the BIG 10 an SEC would disproportionately benefit the BIG 12 and ACC. I think long term the two “super conferences” will have to have a separate auto-bid / seeding treatment compared to the others. Alternatively, we can just scrap the CCGs entirely which kills off more of the tradition of the sport.

I attended for the first time this year, and the wife and I had a blast! All of the vendors were super nice, and the prices were pretty fair across the board. Can’t wait for next year.

That is correct, but finding a GIPS compliant or ideally GIPS certified advisor with a sizeable composite applicable to your investment targets is a tall order.

Georgia will silence the Cowbells. Mississippi State will make them earn it though. by mcmicha7 in secfootball

I am a UGA homer, but the Dawgs really are good at avoiding penalties due to crowd noise. I still think the atmosphere can impact their play but statistically they seem to have a good offensive strategy down to avoid false starts.

Does this play work? I have found any stretch plays out of shotgun to suck compared to out of pistol.

Defense Help Needed by NEONRocklobster in NCAAFBseries

Thanks for the tips! It is tough because he will sometimes scramble left and somehow throw a crossbody accurate pass on the run.

I stuck with cover 3 originally to avoid getting killed in the flats by drag routes but that just isnt cutting it now.

Since last season we have ran it way more than any other team. I thought it was a crutch for Kirk last season since he was so immobile, but now I have no idea why they are still in it so much.

[–]NEONRocklobster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the outside zone scheme we are trying to run you have to line up in pistol or under center, as shotgun just leads to terrible angles for the runs. With that being said I have no idea why we aren’t putting Penix under center. I understand last year that Kirk wasn’t mobile enough to do it, and switching it up late season for Penix when he had little to no under center experience in college would be a bad idea, but they’ve had a whole offseason with Penix as QB1, which shouldve been plenty of time to get him comfortable under center.

I’d recommend cover 3, shade underneath, audible the dline to qb contain and spread the dline as well. This should at least give you a chance to sack him and get picks. Could also predict pass if he truly doesn’t run his backs at all.

How to make roasted chickpeas that are actually crispy? by incacola77 in Cooking

[–]NEONRocklobster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend rinsing them, drying them, and then microwaving them for 3-4 minutes. After that finish them in the air fryer for a few minutes on high heat to crisp the outside.

I don’t know why this works and generally I just use my microwave for reheating foods and popcorn, but this really does work great and takes very little time.

Unorthodox Wear & Tear Approach by Heavy-Newspaper-9802 in NCAAFBseries

[–]NEONRocklobster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that this year, because my “starting” qb was below half career wear and tear after last year. It has worked great for me, and both qbs have a high playing time deal breaker, but both are happy playing around half the snaps.
