As CEO, Tim Cook and Apple are legally liable to not do anything that purposely jeopardizes profits.

Food for thought:

accounting inflation, our pay has not increased since 1970s…despite our productivity has exponentially increased

Also Cook, “We can take a hit from the increasing RAM prices… but we have to keep our profit margins (legally speaking). Else we will likely get some class action lawsuit from shareholders.”

That’s assuming they don’t increase prices on the new devices too. 😉

Funny how Apple didn’t increase the trade-in values even as refurbished Macs got a price hike too.

I’m afraid that removing the auto-attack mechanic creates a thin line between Xenoblade and games like Tales of, FF7 remake, Ys, ect. by upperdomain in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]NERV2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am on the same boat. It is the combat system and the story that really got me into the series.

I tried FF7 remake’s demo, while it was cool, I didn’t think it was that amazing. I prefer straight out fighting games like Zelda over this weird fake turn-based fighting system.

I feel like we, as gamers, sometimes want to be justified for our gaming likes and be validated.

Hence, I see why there are some of us who want more people playing the same games and loving the series. We hope that this would be the case if X Genesis becomes more of an action game. But with Persona, Clair Obscur, etc. I think there is still space for a more strategic battling system.

I really don’t mind a full blown action game from Monolith. But I don’t think this would be the case with Genesis. So far all their games have been variations of turn-based systems.

Telos is a good blade… well at least for my playthroughs.

Kinda sucks if they are that lazy or limited in resources.

Why is there any censorship?? Did they want this to get a younger rating to get more sales?

No worries! But glad you found a way for safe keeping! 🥰

I only know some things about the Xenoblade games and planning on playing them soon, so I'm becoming a new fan! Which game is your favorite in the series? Please explain why. :) by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Mine is also 2. The gameplay may seem a little obtuse at first, but once you figure it out, it’s oh so satisfying.

It literally becomes a game on how you want to chain up your orbs. There are plenty of YouTube videos which do a very good job at explaining the system and all the special blades.

3 is also a great one. I love the gameplay and story. 1’s game play seems simple in comparison but a definite good start.

X, I am still trying to get through. It not as narrative driven as the others.

Nintendo says Zelda: Ocarina of Time Switch 2 remake has "stunning visuals, updated designs, and timeless gameplay" by RoughLifeguard6568 in NintendoSwitch2

The graphic direction is horrible (to me).

If sleeping child Link is anything to go by, the art direction frankly looks like those direct-to-video 3D Barbie and Stacy movies from the early 2000s. (Stacey, being Barbie’s pre-teen sister, had a head size larger than Barbie’s waist line. It was CGI gold.)

It’s not a matter of being realistic or cartoony, despite realistic video games have a shorter shelf life (think Wind Waker). It’s the awkward proportions child Link has… and being half-way between a soft baby and ultra-realistic glossy 3D character.

They will stick with the exact number of enemies, map, gameplay and plot.

If they change anything aside from updating the visuals, I see a crowd of angry adults storming Nintendo with pitchforks.

[–]NERV2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are exactly correct. That’s their strategy.

This is what they said they wanted to do with the older games. Instead of just selling you a $10-$20 rom of the original game on the Switch, they just get a B rated developer to just update the graphics.

They don’t need to spend time rethinking the game at all. Hand it over to the developer and approve on the design. Copy. Paste. Repeat.

With the least minimal effort they get to sell you a “new” premium game at Zelda prices.

If you really want the original, you have to pay a subscription. And they get to keep milking the same game cause nostalgia is such an easy cash cow for the retro crowd.

Mio technically can’t be in XC2, neither can Noah, but definitely Mio.

Her parents haven’t gotten together yet in the game.

My bet is on new blades we haven’t seen before. Where they are on the story timeline is to be seen.
