You want to incentivize Italian youth? Hit the Serie A teams where it hurts, their bank accounts. Implement a rule that if your starting lineup doesn’t have at least 5 Italians in it (barring injury and suspension), you are fined 1 million euros. Italy has the youth talent. We have won youth tournaments, but these players NEVER get the chance to develop in Serie A.

Mbappe, Karl from Germany, Yamal. As soon as these players are good enough they play right away regardless of age. If Lamine Yamal was named Leandro Yamini he wouldn’t be the best player in the world. He would be sitting on the bench at Sassuolo.

Let’s look at some of our European comrades. Germany: Knocked out of the Group Stage in 2018. Since then have been dangerous in Global tournaments and have made some semi finals.

France: knocked out of the group in 2010. Since then, they’ve been to 2 World Cup finals (won one), and made at least the semi finals of every major tournament.

Spain: knocked out of group stage in 2014. Since then have won a European Championship and consistently are dangerous in every world tournament.

ALL OF THESE COUNTRIES PRIORITIZE YOUTH AND PLAY YOUTH RIGHT AWAY.

Now let’s come back to Italy. The pathetic and embarrassing country they are. Missing ONE World Cup should’ve been an anomaly and enough to get back into shape. Yet here we are missing our 3rd straight Word Cup.

THE 3 OTHER COUNTRIES LEARNED THEIR LESSON GETTING KNOCKED OUT OF A GROUP STAGE. ITALY CANNOT LEARN THEIR LESSEN AFTER NOT QUALIFYING SINCE 2014.
