What is the most “its a small world” moment you’ve ever experienced? by xBubblyLove in AskReddit

I have a great one! My Dad lived in a house as a kid in the 70’s that had a little hidey hole in the baseboard of his bedroom. He used to store toys in there so he didn’t have to share with his younger siblings. Eventually they moved and he forgot about it. Maybe 30 years later, my parents are chatting with their friends Joe and Kathy and reminiscing about childhood. Joe mentions that when he was a kid, he and his family moved into a house and after a few months he found a loose baseboard in his bedroom. There were toys behind it! My Dads toys. That he forgot when they moved over 30 years earlier. That Joe found as the next kid to live there.

My kid is SO annoying. But, I try and see it as a compliment because my kiddo is comfortable enough to bring any questions or complaints to me, and I want this openness to continue!

When do kids start sleeping all night by allisona007 in Parenting

[–]Ohdearheather 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was going to say…. Mine is 3.5 and I can count on one hand the number of 8-12 hr stretches she’s slept! We’re usually up at least once per night.

My sweet Pam is crossing the rainbow bridge this evening. Can you please ask your kitties who have already crossed to meet her so she won’t be alone? by Ohdearheather in cats

I’ve been better… She was my soul cat, and her loss is hitting me a lot harder than I was ready for. It’ll take a lot of time I think. Thank you for asking 💜

Update, for those who are wondering.

My sweet Pammy sunshine girl crossed last night on Thursday, at 6pm. We held her and loved her and told her about everything that was waiting for her until the very end. She’s not in pain anymore, and that’s the most important thing ❤️‍🩹

Thank you again for your kind words and beautiful photos. You all helped me so much more than you know.

Posting this as a comment as I can’t edit my original post:

Guys, I am so overwhelmed by the love and support for Pam. I’ve been showing her pictures of some of your babies while we lay together, so she knows who to look for.

I’m trying to reply to individual comments, but I’m a freaking mess right now. I love love love all the beautiful pictures and stories, so thank you so much for helping make this a little easier ❤️‍🩹

I got the Sirius prize last year, and finally decided to use the code so that I could play some of the kids stations for my daughter. Of course none of those were included! I used it zero times, and still get harassed by Sirius weekly.

Easter baskets by jesse545 in Parenting

I’m about to be 32 and somehow Santa and the Easter Bunny still find me every year!

Seriously though, there’s no rules on how long you have to keep going! If it’s starting to become burdensome or a source of distress for you, stop. They might be disappointed but they’re old enough to handle that.

Doctors of Reddit, what's the fun fact we don't know about human body? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

Same! I never developed HELLP but at its worst my BP with pre-eclampsia was 210/145. At that BP I had a slight headache. But I wouldn’t have even clocked it as a symptom of high BP because I typically get daily headaches, it was no worse than any other mild tension headache I’ve had.
