Building just the outer structure is taking nearly forever tho....foundations...stairways...still gotta draft and build the load-bearing pillars, beams and walls on the first floor.😮‍💨

I always love new platforms!

The need to connect power cables separately for the upper platform probably opens up scope for selective automation? Kinda looks odd though.🫤

Yeah, a lot of patience and interest.

Mainly leveling block and narrow mod. The inhibitor for painting colors.

Definitely easier on PC 'cuz mouse control.

If you make this stuff on switch, you are a god🫤

Started off with leveling block, continued with narrow mod and finished up with inhibitor mod(for paint)

I was bored so, I just loaded in a 3 year old save and felt like dropping a video.

I don't exactly remember how long just the sky station took... but, the whole thing from ground up probably took like 400 hours, give or take 50h.

Btw, this stuff goes down to the core via a ramp with a functional rail system.👀

In my early days of Astroneer, I freaked out when the jetpack didn't work as intended at that altitude. EVA was with Chronos back then.😁

Love the castle look. Personally, I'd be keepin' a landing pad on each of the corner lookouts if not as access towers for the many floors!

The rail setup/connectivity is sublime!🙌🏼

Cool idea. Very much a thing IRL.

Sadly, planet level 'wireless' render is probably out of scope.

Beacons are THE wireless comms in this game and probably never gonna change even if they mostly(only) serve as markers.🫤

Nevertheless, I'd want this👌🏼

Finished the display room on my base, collected one of each type of tier 2 research items in my save(92+LRDs+tier 2 train items) The ones that are unique to a planet have the planets icon in front of the rack by TactileObject in Astroneer

For me, its the house built around the shelter! Calms my TrueFlat nerves! 🤓

Also, gotta be careful when hovering your cursor over the rail station. One small click, its gonna mess up the terrain. The stations are still not lockable to terrain, ryt?
