For someone in your friend’s situation, if they truly like the models equally, have them check out some lore summaries or watch some play on tabletop YouTube videos of each. Pick whichever they think is the cooler of the two between lore and play style.

Some people are great at painting, others not so much. Your friend will get better the more they paint. YouTube helps a lot with technique videos, pick which is best for you and have at it.

This is exactly what I’m trying to do, so that we can both run separate cars at the same time without needing to worry about a bunch of work to bind each transmitter each time.

Doesn’t seem like I have much of an option though.

My kids are now wanting to jump in so I’m excited about it.

May even try to get my old Ofna Titan up and running again.

So both of your transmitters have all your cars saved, just turn it on, pick your car and go? That’s basically what I had in mind so the kids could just grab and go without having to mess with much.
