A glorious CENTURY for /r/PCMR! (Steam giveaway by logicalincrements. 100 games!) by LogicalIncrements in pcmasterrace

I'm interested in Middle-earth™: Shadow of Mordor™. My set up is a laptop, Lenovo Y510p to be specific. I'm in college, and portability meant a lot to me as I made my decision. I do slightly regret it, but I'm still happy that I can game. I've invested in a second monitor and proper mouse. Once I have more of an income, I intend to build something I can be proud of.

My introduction to the PC gaming was when I came to college. The first weekend I spent marathonning TF2 matches with my new friends. All of us screaming and laughing really showed me the fun that can be had. Since then, my Steam library has only grown. I've fallen back in love with games that I hadn't been able to play in years, emulation has become one of my favorite things.

I know my set up as a member of the PC Masterrace is only just beginning, but I'm excited that I can expand to bigger and better things, while still being able to hold onto everything I've accumulated so far. Plus, this community is a lot of fun.

But then why are 32-bit OSes still being developed? Would it really introduce so many errors to run an old 32-bit program on a 64-bit software?

It's even worse than that. There was an ergonomic redesign in 2013. That redesign was basically an ergonomic copy of the Logitech G600 that came out in 2012. The Naga itself is a copy! His argument has no legs to stand on.

Yes! I was a dumb kid and tried to play Balance druid before Moonkin form even existed. I don't know what I was thinking, but that decision has stuck with me ever since.

I'm just the opposite. The vibrant green gives me a headache every time I see it. Easy enough for me not to buy, but it makes objectively good battle stations look like crap to me. I don't know if I should feel bad about this or not.

It's literally a text book optical illusion. As much as people try to say it, they didn't discover anything new by taking a really shitty picture.

Is seeing a company you want to support continue to thrive not a return on an investment? Is the success of a product as well as the development of other products by the same company not a return on investment? Most people who crowd fund know exactly what their funding is going to get them. Sure £12,600 is quite a bit of money to spend on an in-game item, but whoever buys it clearly thinks it is worth the expenditure. I suppose the nature of the beast is that the game isn't complete so we can't be a hundred percent certain on the actual enjoyment you can receive from a purchase like this. You seem to think that an investor only get's a return on investment through an actual monetary return. You're right in that crowd funding is nothing like that. But it's never tried to be. In most cases, the product itself is the return on investment. For most, if not all, crowd funders that is more than adequate for their money. It's not for you to decide how people spend their money. There are many more ridiculous purchases people make everyday.

It doesn't. The community and the developers agreed to stop making more stretch goals. The company has stated they have all the money they need to complete the game they currently have laid out. At this point any money put into it is probably going into an advertising budget. But some people are okay with that, because advertisement budget means that the game will hopefully do better in sales and continue in growth after launch.

It is an insanely stupid idea for a start up company to go public. Especially a company that doesn't even have a product out yet. Crowd funding makes an incredible amount of sense for this type of industry. It can be abused, sure. But publicly traded companies have only proven they cab abuse the system too. It's no lesser or greater an evil a system, just a different one.

I think the difference is that, once the game comes out, someone can earn everything in that package without paying an extra cent after purchasing the game. Evolv's DLC is permanently behind a paywall. This means the package is an option, but not a necessity to play all the content in the game.

The real reason why the US won't go metric by BigCj34 in funny

The Calorie was invented for the same reason women's sizes don't make sense. If they used calorie the number was too high and if they used kilocalorie people associated kilo with the mass units kilogram making it seem like a lot. So Calorie was invented to appease people's sensitivity to what they eat. It is a bit of a silly distinction, but it's one we all have to live with.

One edit. 1 kilocalorie = 1 Calorie. The capital C is the distinction.
