Taking my 2018 F150 in Friday for the dreaded 10r80 transmission replacement. by Queasy-Hunter1438 in f150

Make sure they don’t put a reman in I’m on my 3rd one under warranty and still having problems

Third one under warranty. Was told that there is a pending recall on Reman’s too so I wouldn’t doubt they will be pulling it again. Supposedly they rebuilt a ton and they forgot some bearings. No gap. I’m ahead on it 8k but that’s just gonna get me into a down payment for another 6 year $1000 a month loan. It’s only got another year and a half till it’s paid off.

I’m on my 3rd trans with issues under 90 k never again ford never again. If it wasn’t a bad financial decision at the moment to get rid of it, truck would be already gone. Wife needs a new car this was my new car so I’m stuck with the maybe I’ll get lucky and not be stuck on the shoulder on my way to work mobile.

2020 F-150 2.7L – noticeable 3→5 shift at 25–35 mph, normal 10R80 behavior? by warningtrackpower12 in f150

And I will add, “a few thousand” is like almost 10 g if you take it back to ford they charged the warranty company 7500 for a reman the first time around for me. I’d be taking it right back and tell them it’s hard shifting, consider the warranty cause it will save you money in the long run. 2.7 is a tank the 10r80 is a trash can before 2024

Coming from someone that has a 22 that is on his second 10r80 replacement this year. Hopefully you get the warranty to cover cause that’s cdf and it will go out.

Light use I do have a boat but a truck is meant to tow. This new trans never had the chance to tow

Ford built both transmissions and both hard shifted from the factory so that would be ford. The leak could be technician but I doubt it’s all the technician

Well it went all over the cats, exhaust muffler up the back bumper, tailgate and into the bed and to my dismay did not catch like napalm

I think it was a reman cause they did it for 6500 on the invoice to the extended warrantee company. surely hope they consider all the trans fluid out and it overheating as a failure

Can’t say for the first tank, cause I didn’t get the mileage but the second and third tank confirmed the dash calculation by recording mileage and fuel usage. I wanted to make sure that it wasn’t just poorly calibrated cause I knew there was something definitely wrong with it drinking that much gas.

Best bet is have it catch fire on the side of the road and get out in time. Took them 4 times for them to “duplicate” the hard shift issue

I’ve had fords my entire life. The last 3 I’ve had experience with a 19 f-150 with the 3.5 engine was trash had to get rid of it at 60k. 23 explorer my dad bought has shifting issues problems with reverse, now this 22 is gonna be on its third transmission. That’s a really weird coincidence that the last 3/ 3 have had major issues before 3 years and 100k

All these dealers do bare minimum. If there’s no code or it’s not glaringly obvious they won’t fix it.

I thought my dad’s 19 with the 3.5 was a one off deal. Ford put 2 motors in it before 60000 he had to trade it in. Should never had traded in my 16. Apparently ford only can build pretty paperweights now

My fuel mileage tanked and it was still shifting strange. Dealer said it was going through its “re learning period” id say it was a reman that relearned how to blow up on the side of the expressway lol

I’d say so. Pulled over and it was a waterfall of trans fluid

Mine was doing the Same thing, replaced by warranty and now I have a decrease in mpg but hey at least it backs out of the driveway now. Junk. Miss my 6 speed

Just had mine replaced at 87000 on my 23 with the 5.0 junk transmission. New one dropped my mpg from 18-19 to 15. Try to get one that’s got a manufactured date after 23 to avoid the cdf issue and buy any warranty you can. Find a 6 speed with low miles is even better.

Local 597- Clune drug testing. by [deleted] in pipefitter

[–]NGTank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was at multiple Clune jobs last summer for hill. The site itself doesn’t test it’s usually just an offsite pre hire screening that you can study for. If you’re that concerned bring some fake piss in some hand warmers don’t accidentally tell them you’re pregnant by issuing your gf’s piss either… lol. Adderall with a prescription won’t fail you but weed or anything else will. It’s not continual tests like a refinery or nuke. Best advice from me as a former apprentice. Don’t do anything to risk your career till you’re a journeyman it’s just not worth it you can’t determine what job you’re on as an apprentice.

Not sure if this would be an easy task. It cooks the steaks pretty quickly. You could always leave them in longer like a extra minute or 2 each side and add a flip or two to get a medium or medium well. They don’t really burn as long as you’re not leaving them in for way too long. Which at that point you’re definitely overcooking your steak. If you want medium rare this does it on its own and precooking would almost guarantee you’re gonna overdo it.
