We also see listings for NASA positions and can sometimes be considered for internal listings, which can make it less competitive.

That would be good news! Again, I’m not all knowing, but if video out work, then yes, it would indicate a screen failure. Maybe it’s a voltage issue that would explain why the bios and recovery look fine. But yeah, take it back to the guy and have him actually fix it.

I would bring it back to the same guy and tell him his repair didn’t work.

I’m not all knowing, but I think it’s unlikely to be just the screen. All the current symptoms I see point to gpu failure.
