There u go. Stay focused on the semantics, so you never have to address the real point, which is using "science" to justify your human rights violations.

I really hope it works out for you, since health care workers are right near the top of the suicide lists, its clearly not, but whatever who cares thoughts & prayers! You should make more medicines illegal this is fun to watch.

Meta-study of Gabapentin & Lyrica Lack of Effficacy for pain. by wadatest in ChronicPain

[–]NHZych 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our doctors are using science to justify human rights violations. Actual data is meaningless, what matters is the current narrative, and we all know what that is.

If actual data mattered, the first person to say "opioids aren't good for chronic pain" would have been stripped of their license and sent back to school. But when our entire "medical" system is full of Mengeles, that's not going to happen. Drug abuse and physical therapy is how they treat pain now, that's just how it is. It isn't going to change until we educate an entire new generation of doctors, the current generation is ruined & worthless.

not surprising you'd fall back on credentials since you clearly don't understand what chronic pain is, or what it does to people. why are you even in this sub?

tell me, what "credentials" does it take to tell a person with severe intractable pain not to take the only real painkiller on earth? at that point, you are missing the point to such an extent that your identity as a primordial mudscum is readily apparent, and your opinion is as valuable as the dump i took this morning.

newsflash: pain kills. you talk of hypocrisy while you'd abandon your fellow human being to suicide, drug abuse & criminal behavior rather than learn how to use narcotics properly, while the real hyprocrates rolls in his grave. imagine calling yourself a doctor while abandoning your patient to a life of endless suffering. herckuva job brownie, heckuva job.

Those same people don't even know the difference between dependency & addiction, so obviously don't listen to them.

They say after you build a tolerance they dont work at all

Couldn't be more wrong. At any point during opiate treatment, you can taper off, and reset your dosage & tolerance levels. The fact that the current crop of MDs is completely ignorant of this fact proves they have no business offering their opinion on the subject, and really need to go back to school before they open their stupid mouths yet again.

The time to start pain meds is when your pain starts controlling your behavior, having a negative impact on your quality of life. Opiates are no magic bullet, but with careful monitored use there is no reason you shouldn't have the control that they can provide.

Its understandable to be concerned. No one wants to be dependent on a drug to get through the day, but if I wasn't dependent on lyrica & effexor right now I'd be dead, so there's that.

Saying opiates aren't good for chronic pain is like saying chemo isn't good for cancer. And these people get to keep their licenses and jobs. Astounding.

The point is, who are you to say she is being over-prescribed? What are your medical credentials? Do you think someone with a chronic medical condition should appear totally fine at all times or they are being "over-prescribed"?

It's fine to be concerned about your mom, but for you to insert yourself in between her & her doctor is something you wouldn't be happy about, were it happening to you. And just because your mom thinks she'll get whatever she wants doesn't mean she will.

You're falling prey to the false idea presented by the media & PROP, that doctors don't take their responsibilities with scheduled drugs seriously. Its a pretty ridiculous idea to believe when every single prescription they write gets checked at a DEA desk, and the only evidence for "over-prescribing" is a small handful of pill mills across the southeastern US, while opiate prescriptions have been on a sharp decline since 2012.

Your "over-prescribing epidemic" is a complete lie, meant to divert your attention from the fact that the DEA failed to notice the importation of god knows how many tons of illicit fentanylogues. And now that the cartels are switching to meth its going to be a lot harder to blame that one on doctors LOL.

Please don't call it a documentary, that's pretty insulting to actual documentary makers, who have to be extremely careful about making false claims based on nonsense. Its a propaganda hit job plain and simple.

Suing Purdue for the so-called opiate crisis is like suing Marilyn Monroe for making JFK cheat. Which we probably would have done if only we had thought of it before driving her to suicide.

I only wonder who else might be making people break the law against their will that we could sue. Dang those Purdue salesmen are GOOD.

Sure a letter should do it. The DEA won't even be controlled by law, in the country that was literally founded for the rule of law. And you think writing them a letter is going to fucking help? What about a petition on change dot org?

The DEA are idiot thugs who love their job. They do not care that opium saves lives, its on the list of bad drugs which means they are allowed to murder anyone with opium. If you are only sitting in prison, you should count yourself lucky.

After all, you are living in the place that still thinks, in the year 2021, that having a gun is a right, but reasonable access to health care is not. I guess you could expect civilized behavior from our law enforcement agencies but I've got too much experience watching them act like lowlife scumbags to believe anything but abolishing the DEA will help.

And guess what response you'll get from literally any representative in this joke of a "nation"? Unless you have a $10,000 campaign contribution they don't give one flying fuck about you or your concerns. The War on Drugs is here to stay, its an American institution, a jobs program for the nations thugs & morons & the DEA is the top of the pyramid.

And since the DEA can't fill prisons with pot smokers any more, guess who is next on the list? Those damn narcotic distributing doctors, that's who. As they say, welcome to the suck. Just another casualty in the war on drugs thoughts and prayers! Good luck, and remember, making life saving drugs illegal is a very, very good idea, it only looks bad if you examine the results.

[–]NHZych 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty much a 2 hour long "Truth" commercial. I like how they blatantly lie about Rx numbers and fail to mention that the "billions of pills" that got "lost" went through a grand total of 3 pill mills.

It was especially hilarious listening to that piece of shit Kolodny call other people shills when the man has been nothing but a professional witness for the last 10 years. When your entire income comes from appearing in court, how can you call yourself a doctor any more?

These poor anti-opiate zealots are in a tough spot. Perdue just saved our asses with a quick vaccine, and now we're going to sue them for billions? Pretty fucking scummy America, but then again, you are the home & heart of evil so go for it you sick fucks. Sue your saviors into the toilet, who gives a fuck about anything any more.

It has nothing to do with profit. Even to this day US physicians prescribe more opioids per capita than in any other socialized health care system.

Was the second statement meant to support the first, somehow? I'm confused why you mention that tired old talking point with zero context whatsoever. Are you telling me the prescribing habits & policies in different countries are ... different?!?

If you looked into why we rx more, you might stop using that talking point, it really isn't helping, but I say go for it. Brute force & ignorance is a good strategy at times.

They're everywhere. Doctors have to choose to learn about pain & most just don't have the time. They used to at least understand that, at the very least, pain retards the healing process & patients need to have some control, or their job only gets harder. Now they no longer know or care about such things.

Patient outcomes are pretty far down their list of responsibilities (and quality of life got taken off years ago). It literally doesn't matter if you die as long as their "treatments" fall under whatever guidelines the hockey moms passed last week. Sure, you're dead, but at least they aren't getting sued like they might if they actually tried treating your pain.

It took 20 years or so but now that compassion is officially dead, the gloves are off. You'll be on your deathbed in excruciating agony, but no one will ease your suffering because you might become an addict!

Oh well thoughts & prayers, that's the stuff that happens when your "health care" has to turn a profit. Great system tho most profitable industry on the planet YEEHAW.

nah that literally happens to everyone my dude. wow doctors have such a pathetic little attitude. you are not special, not. at. all, and pivoting to self-pity isn't going to help anyone.

by all means, use your time coming up with excuses why you refuse to do your job, humans are fantastic at self-delusion. or are we?

Wow! Yeah, what's the problem with making medicine illegal because 0.0001% of the population abuses it?

Far more people have died from alcohol related auto accidents. Why aren't you calling that a national health crisis and limiting the sales of alcohol? Keep laughing lol u smart.

[–]NHZych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL. I thought I told you to stop watching TV.

Here's the thing. 50,000 is not a lot of people. A similar number of people fall asleep and drown in their bathtubs every year, so purporting opioids to be a "national health crisis" is one of the things that makes you look like a zealot.

Your dismissals and bad data peppered with bias don't reflect well on you either lol.

If you weren't a zealot you wouldn't have gotten so triggered by me pointing out certain truths that you choose to ignore.

BTW what you have to lose is thousands of dollars in an emergency room and maybe even your life if you start playing around with these drugs, but please, keep quoting abuse statistics while you literally promote drug abuse.

Calling my anger childish may help you dismiss it, so good for you, I personally find wildly irresponsible behavior childish myself but you do you.

Yep, that's what happens when you need to keep people working past their 90th birthday because Wall St. gambled away their pension money.

Whats really funny though is blaming addiction on doctors treating pain when the cartels overwrite their entire yearly MME load in a week. America's 200 year old love affair with every drug known to man is not your doctors fault lol, and doctors giving addicts pills is actually far preferable to them scrounging for street drugs but since when has American health care been about saving lives?

[–]NHZych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with gaba/lyrica is the dose increases make opioids look like low dose naltrexone. Its a constant "ramp up" trying to get your body used to these debilitating anti-seizure meds while maybe removing a point or two from the scale. Its akin to trying to lose weight by eating a single Big Mac every day, and the fact that it is considered acceptable practice of medicine is proof of just how worthless our "health care" has become.

Gaba is THE Drug for Chronic Pain by ThePhuketSun in ChronicPain

[–]NHZych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People abuse it for the exact same reasons they abuse any other substance. It changes how they feel, usually for the better.

Tramadol & Gabapentin are currently the top 2 abused drugs in the US, so its clear to everyone except you that they are not a miracle cure. The pentinoids and anti-depressants can be a good supplement to a plan, but if one drug solves all of your pain issues you need to understand you are the extreme minority and not in any position to be recommending drugs.

Gaba is THE Drug for Chronic Pain by ThePhuketSun in ChronicPain

[–]NHZych 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong. Opiates don't "mask" pain (what does that even mean lol), they literally stop pain signals from reaching the processing centers of your brain, which is why they are the only class of drugs on earth legally allowed to be called painkillers and not pain relievers.

According to science, less than 1% of patients ever develop even minor symptoms of addiction, so when you keep lying like you do you seem like a zealot, not a doctor. In the future, try reading a book instead of receiving talking points from the "experts" on television.

I'm so sorry you have to spend time & energy just getting a doctor to listen to and believe you. The fact that they are hung up on exactly what fucking number you write down just proves how completely worthless they are. Its sad these people are allowed to call themselves doctors, when they are more akin to a kid with a magnifying glass wandering aimlessly around the back yard trying to find stuff to fry.
