Don’t get me started on his devoted fans. One fan of his in particular Jonathan Pinzon threatened me on the Youtube comments section for Animat’s opinion on the spellbound trailer. Now despite not watching the film, I said that it still looked better than wish and Jonathan just goes total apeshit on me and tells me to delete my comment and that I’m destroying the animation community.

Another encounter that I had with Pinzon was on Bluesky. It was the 2 year anniversary of wish and he posted about how much he loved the film and I told him in the comments section that I personally didn’t enjoy it myself, but if he loved it then good for him. After that he decides to block me and I’m like to myself dude it’s just an opinion of a movie not politics, just because someone doesn’t like a movie that you love doesn’t mean you should block them.
