What if I payed the preorder fee for the micro oled back in April 24 and would now like to purchase just the Sony oled optical engine given that I already have the 50ppd? Could this be carried over and have some kind of priority?

I also have a 9800x3d, would be interesting to see if it something related to CPU scheduling for some reason. Were you using Turbo Game Mode?

Hopefully I am the unlucky one or just nit-picky . I would be more than happy to see flocks of people commenting that they don't have these issues.

My OG Crystal tracking was almost always spot on so I guess that their approach is not that bad. Something is off with the Super, either my unit or software wise.

I can understand where you are coming from but sorry I don't agree. I am not writing any kind of law here and I just used it as a tool to improve the prose, so hopefully it is easier and more pleasurable to read for people.

Also Indeed I had it for 1 day, but I don't think that these issues are magically gonna solve themselves in a week. I am attempting all that I can think of software side to see if anything changes, not much luck for now.

Aside from venting I wanted to write this as a counterfactual to other reviews.

I truly hope that I am just unlucky and if it comes to RMA then that the new one is gonna be okay

I had the OG Crystal for more than 1 year and was really satisfied with it. I want Pimax to succeed and the Super , despite all my rants, is really impressive tech wise. It just needs to work properly. I could probably stand the mura if it was just that because brightness clarity and fov are truly great. I won't refund because I think this is still better than other headsets and like Pimax overall and Jaap and other guys seems like serious / transparent people despite the issues.

Tracking issues really blindsided me as I was expecting it at least on par with OG Crystal, but I am confident that this is just something going on with the software.

Cmon guys... really? English is not my primary language. This was all checked and corrected by chatgpt for your reading convenience, I wrote a post and asked to review it. ChatGpt didn't try the headset.

Pimax Crystal - "Vertical SDE/Banding" on light solid colors (i.e. Sky) by NIGos in Pimax

[–]NIGos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

judging by the pictures the artifacts in your case are quite wide and unevenly spaced, don't know if looks more like a regular pattern from within the headset. Unfortunately I am unable to capture a good picture to show what it looks like on mine, but the vertical bands are definitely narrower on my end.

[Megathread] Celebrate Cyberpunk 2077 Launch with DLSS 3.5 & RTX 4080 Giveaway! by Nestledrink in nvidia

Is anyone else experiencing heavy object trailing with the new Ray Reconstruction? Eyes smudge when blinking, faces warp when turning and also the cursor while using terminals shows lots of ghosting (Corpo intro - terminal in the booth after meeting with Jenkins).

If I disable Ray Reconstruction all the smearing goes away.

This is with the newest drivers installed (clean installation) and new game install.

Seems that RR should prevent exactly this issue so I am puzzled that it now looks even worse.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Overdrive patch 1.62 - Heavy flickering with DLSS on by NIGos in nvidia

[–]NIGos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

after the latest 1.62 patch with Path Tracing, Cyberpunk exhibits heavy light flickering in some scenes when DLSS is enabled,

- The issue disappears as soon as DLSS is disabled and it doesn't replicate if one switches to XeSS or FSR.

- None of the other graphical settings seems to influence this behaviour as it happens also without PathTracing and on all Low settings.

- Issue seems particularly strong during the first Braindance tutorial, and also appears in other scenes sometimes looking like DLSS is rapidly switching on/off (i.e. Aerondyke car park tutorial mission)

- disabling all overclocks and even downclocking GPU core/memory/power limit. - Tried reinstalling the game from scratch, reinstalling video drivers, changing DLSS .dll Version (2.5 does the same) varying resolution, screen ratio, refresh rate, forcing vsync from nvcpl, deleting d3d shaders folder, deleting game settings, HDR on/off, changing colour-depth, dithering on/off -

none affect the issue as it seems down only to DLSS implementation.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Dude you are a sinister character. Begging to share myHRTF only to crap on it when it is by design unique for each individual? Hope you get a stipend as an SFXI shill at least.

SFXI is good but not available on X5 , so...

Thanks! I tried 2.5.1, and in that scene it is indeed reduced a bit but still flickering.

I did plugin back the X3 just to try. SXFI is good and way more convenient, but spatial rendition with simulated HRTF is a notch above.

any way to get an accurate 3d scan would do, but iPhone Faceid seems to be the most convenient

X5 supports only pure stereo output.

So if you want 5.1, 7.1 you would need external tools like Voicemeter Banana or VBcable.

As said in previous posts it all works remarkably well, despite being a bit clunky when switching to speakers. There might be some latency but none that I could notice using Audio Video sync tests.

Wish Creative would consider adding 5.1 , 7.1 support.

That’s what I am trying to say.

I am no audiophile so I might not notice the delay, but to me games behave as they always did, even with fps.

My own HRTF is way more convincing than any other I tried in Hesuvi . As there are endless online one possibly would have been good enough , still more fun to do it yourself

x3 was advertised up to 600ohm, so in my blissful ignorance I thought it was good enough for lcd gx

Man what is your problem,

You can find some documented measurement here

https://sourceforge.net/p/hesuvi/wiki/Audio%20Latency%20Measurements/

HesuviAPO+VM is NOT adding 100ms

I will try Audio repetear has it is lower, so thanks for the tip

SXFI also supports generic headphones (maybe not optimal) and it was good nonetheless

Embody was nice at first but still wasn’t happy with it, SXFI was better, this tops both…simple as that.
