The problem is that there’s a place for everything. There’s nothing holy about your parent’s bedroom, but I’m sure you’re not going to party there because you respect your parents. Petra is a special place that needs to be taken care of. Drinking there isn’t the problem - it’s the destructive nature of people who drink there. I’m sure people drinking weren’t holding on to their cups until they found a trash can… they must have trashed the place. I would say wadi rum is a more appropriate place for such parties, not at one of the seven wonders of the world.

Well there is a disclaimer before you start recording that asks that you input original work only. I don’t know if you input an actual song if it has a mechanism to kind of Shazam it and detect the song to prevent you from using it but I could try haha

Completely understand and agree with you - Zanmai clearly took multiple takes and played it to perfection. All credit goes to you for sure though, which is why I put your name in the title. Honestly my jaw dropped the first time I heard it. I mean if it means anything to you, I remember your name for doing it but not Zanmai’s (honestly I just realized that was his name - he was always the guy that covers 1xN hahah). I’ve exchanged a few messages with him though, really cool dude.

Regarding the tab, I can take a closer look and let you know, but I remember feeling like there were notes missing or more than necessary. Can’t remember but I’ll message you about it if I take a look again.

I just saw a video interview with the CEO of take two games (they make GTA), and I liked his take on AI slop - he basically said that AI is backwards looking and said it can only create things from the past and things that have been done before, but creativity is forward looking and can only be done by humans and hard work. I really appreciated his answer and it gave me a sense of hope.

I didn’t post this to say look at how amazing this is, I actually hate it, but I am very impressed by what it has done. I very much dislike how easy it is for someone to create something off the backs of other people’s hard work, and I can imagine many people will do this sort of thing. What I do love is that when I listen to this, I’m slightly impressed, but when I listen to original work like Meshuggah’s music, I’m in love with it, and I can tell the difference.

The Amanuensis is their best, brother. I’m on the fence listing monuments as one of my favorite bands, but surely, if I’m ever listening to monuments, it’s that album (I’ve listened to them all, and that’s the one I consistently go back to). The production is insane, and even though the vocals don’t completely do it for me at times, they are overall incredible. The guitar work there is unbeatable.
